Yeah, after seeing the UPS tracking this morning. It seems that way.
I don't mind waiting a couple of weeks.
How do you like yours btw? Is the exhaust note noticeably louder, in a good way?

I honestly cannot comment on the function of the valve controller itself. It was installed during the install of my Remus exhaust. However the exhaust didn't ship with valve controller springs so they couldn't connect the valve controller up at the time and just left the valves fully open. I got the springs the next day but never installed them and instead have just left the valve controllers off the car and the valves fully open.

I can say that I love the sound of it with the valves fully open and at this time don't even car to hook the valve controllers up as I don't want the valves to ever be closed. I might have to at some point though if I start to see that the valves close by themselves.

Gotcha. I wonder if the stock exhaust gets noticeably louder with the flap fully open.

Others on here have commented that it is noticeable, especially upon cold start. Then once warmed up additional burbles can be heard in normal driving.

I started this thread almost a year ago. Glad to see it's over 14 pages now. That's why forums like this are so neat--opinions of course, but practical information as well. And yes--there is a 'very' noticeable difference with the valves fully open all of the time no matter how you do it.

I'm waiting on mine as well. Hopefully there is a pretty good difference.

Would love to see a video of this on (fully open) vs. off (stock).

I have to say, I really wish there was a simple OBDII plug and play, like with the F8x series BMS canflap module, versus needing to actually install something under the car, but I am under the impression that with the new valve system, this is not possible.

I am still almost definitely going to get this, but I'm going to wait for my break-in service (car is still at the port waiting to get on a ship to California!)

I like the idea of having this set to Auto normally, and use the remote that comes with it (or the mirror buttons) to switch into fully open. I LOVE the fully open sound of my F82, especially the burbles on downshifts in sport+, but there are DEFINITELY times when I can go without the loud cold start in the mornings...

Hard to get a feel in volume increase, but burble and pops are more noticeable.

I know I own an F97 but I figure it's got an S58 so I lurk these forums from time to time. I've already ordered the VSC-2 module to try it out on the F97 platform as it worked well for my old F80.

That being said, I've been searching for an OBD style exhaust valve module for a while, but with no success. There are a few on the market but they are all pin-out style (which are a bitch to install) and nothing that is plug and play, except ONE.

But the problem is that it's a Japanese product. I emailed the producers (Google Translate ftw!) but never got a word back. Basic Performance (South Korean auto shop) happens to carry them as well. I DM'd the owner (I do speak Korean) but he never responded or gotten back to me.

The item is called "Plug Connect. EXC for BMW"... basically a small device that connects to the OBD port. It functions just like the BMS CanFlap module too (using the BC button on the turn signal stalk). So unless you're in Japan/Korea, there's no real way of getting it here in the US.

I have one those SBD modules on my desk (sold under a bunch of different names), doesn't work properly on G8x.

Awron CanFlap is the only kit that utilizes the factory steering wheel control. The system has completely changed with G8x infrastructure, as CAN data can only be received (not transmitted) so I doubt we'll be seeing any other OEM-integrated kits soon.

We're working on some final details on firmware for the US models and it will be for sale shortly. We'll update the Awron thread when closer to release.

Are the remotes only available at Dollar General?

I can't stand how tacky it is to have a secondary remote, let alone that it looks like they stole it from a 1995 Toyota Corolla.

Obviously it's not something you want to show off lol
At least you can program it to your Homelink and throw those ugly remotes in the closet.
Problem with mine is that I already use 2 buttons...

Looks like another option to control the flaps.
Although it appears to be more involved in installing, I like how the stock buttons are used for control.

I asked for the default to be factory and to open when it's activated

the reason for doing so is to keep the valves closed during cold start and i will activate it when needed

I manually opened the valves tonight using a zip tie and I think anyone considering an exhaust should try this first.

The sound improvement is great and what's cool about it is that with the exhaust button in the center console you can control if you have burbles or not but the sound is very similar between the two.

I did it slightly differently, I left the controller plugged in and mounted it on the far side bolt and used a zip tie on the other bolt hole as a backup. It'll take literally 5 mins to put back to stock.

Ha I don't know about that, besides removing the carbon filters/trays and putting in drop in BMS filters this is the only thing I've done to this car.

It seemed like a simple / convenient spot to mount it, no invisible codes and the car thinks the valves are fully operational. I love the sound now it's perfect. I was considering removing the first resonator but won't bother now.

Won't the zip tie melt?
