My car didn't come with one and from what I've seen it's not available from BMW.

Has anyone seen an aftermarket option that doesn't look like It came off a 97 civic si?

Will this work for the G83? Website says G83 or G82 and when you actually add item to cart, you have to select chassis G83. Thoughts?

Only thing that is a sure thing that I have seen is the one R44 has. It's quite aggressive for my taste. 3d Design has one listed on their site. I don't believe it's available yet. I check different places including Ali but I have seen nothing else.

still looking and still wanting. there is a 4 series convertible near me and every time i see it i pine for something to adorn the trunk... the car needs it, imho

Got my r44 spoiler - it doesn't fit. The top would hit it in process of opening...

R44 said there was a mold issue and it was discontinued a few weeks ago. (I bought from Euroklasse) they say they'll have new stock in 3 weeks, but I don't believe this will fix the issue - the spoiler would have to be fundamentally redesigned. I strongly suspect that our NA market tops operate differently, with different clearances than overseas - I mean, this isn't even remotely close.

I think the 3d spoiler is the most fugly one I've ever seen in my entire life, so not going that route.

Now on my 4th spoiler attempt....

Damn... I wish this wasn't true but can confirm it is. I had gotten it installed on my TB G83 and I thought I heard a weird noise when I was putting the top down but didn't think to look. After seeing this post, I just checked and sure enough. The mechanism hits the spoiler, although not that hard but still does make a slight impact. I'm pretty upset right now. I loved the look of the spoiler. ugh...

Man, that looks so good on tb.

I'm surprised the top even opens at all - maybe it has anti pinch built in, and allows the top to retract even if that piece isn't moved back fully.

(On mine, it was far enough off that I'm convinced opening the top with the spoiler on would have ripped the spoiler off.)

I hope someone comes out with a new one for the na market - I love the r44. Maybe someone can design one that's quite a bit smaller, but not as fugly as the 3D one.

Agreed. So yeah I opened and closed it like 5 times in a row. Doesn't seem to hit it too hard and I don't feel any scratches or scrapes on the bumper or the body part that hits the spoiler. Also the spoiler still feels very firm and no extra wiggle from opening the top. But still, I contacted Euroklasse to return it. This is making me want to sell the G83 to a G82 now... Ugh..
