Could have been improper break in but nothing could fix them without replacing. My new m3 2024 now has the same sound and I’ll be doing the same thing.
Doubtful they will, there is actually bulletin about brake noise.

The noise is incredibly common and normal in the G8x. The dealer won't do anything about it.

Your only fix is to swap to quieter pads.

Care to share the brand/model of the ceramic pads you switched to?
(blue calipers or red calipers)

Thanks

Right now I have DFC3000 pads on car because when I bought m3, there was no options. They were for ceramic brakes only so they were too big and hung over front rotors. I have a set of Carbotech pads I'm installing next week because ebc redstuff are backorder and other pads are too expensive and to me are not that much different.
The DFC3000 performed great but I don't want to risk them wearing down and damage rotors.

ECS Tuning says that these do not fit a G80 M3. Is that true?

I have the EBC red stuff on all 4 corners, no problems installing on my G80. They make fronts specific to the G8X I believe.

Fronts: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ebc-part.../dp32454c~ebc/

Rears: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ebc-parts/ebc/dp32089c~ebc/

Keep in mind the fronts are unicorns right now, very difficult to find.

Your other option are the Carbotechs mentioned, or iSweep 1500 or 2000s.

Do you happen to have the part numbers for the DFC3000?
I looked up the DFC3000s on rockauto.com and they show a set for non carbon ceramic brakes... which should be the right shaped pads.
But I want to compare part numbers since the website listing could be incorrect as well.

Thank you in advance

This is where I purchased my pads in 21 when I bought my car.
