The slow availability of things right now reminds me of mail ordering things as a kid. You sent money away, waited so long that you almost forgot that you ordered it and then it shows up.

Hopefully I won’t be as disappointed with this as I was with the stuff I mail ordered as a kid.

its unfortunate that the dahler one is 2-3x the cost of the VSC-2, but having had the VSC-2 and had a bunch of errors thrown, about open exhaust flaps, etc. i tried the dahler one.

immediately after installing the dahler controller, i was able to clear the codes with bimmerlink. the wires reached the akrapovic exhaust valves, but it was tight as well. i wish dahler sold or the controller came with the extensions their exhaust comes with.

dahler, like vsc-2, was easy to program to homelink buttons.

dahler, unlike vsc-2, you can program the default mode, open or factory by holding the open/close buttons down for 2-3 seconds. dahler can also be programmed to remember the last mode selected (before the car was turned off) by holding down the close button for 5-7 seconds. when you do either of these, the flaps open/close 3 times to indicate programming is complete (only if car is running).

VSC-2 being locked in without any ability to reprogram is annoying. VSC-2 throwing error codes is also annoying.

is the dahler worth 3x the cost? no. am i happy with it, sure. and probably because of the price, it was in stock in usa and delivered in a few days

It’s worth the money if it works for you and it’s nice to have it now, instead of no real ETA.

I’m getting impatient and kind of fed up with waiting forever on orders. Half tempted to cancel my current order and just order the Dahler. With my luck it will be out of stock now too.

Interesting. Would this be the case for everyone with the VSC-2 (i.e. experiencing error codes which aren't able to be cleared)?

the errors do not generate CEL (check engine light on dash), so not sure it really matters.

I don't even have my valve controllers plugged in. In fact they aren't even on my car at the moment. My car is probably throwing a code each day behind the scenes.

Congrats! Last I checked it was 4 weeks for new orders, and 8 weeks was for older orders but I don't trust estimates these days, to be honest.

Let's just say its 4-8 weeks depending on how lucky you are

Hmm, I thought the 'average 1 week' lead time on the website was up to date. I guess not.
So the recently updated UPS estimated delivery isn't correct?
Tracking was updated a few days ago saying it's on the way, ETA 6/2

CG told us 1-2 weeks, 4 weeks ago and we are still patiently waiting.

I've had the controller installed since 11/21. About a month ago, something went wrong. Valves are always open. I can't close them w/ the fob or interior homelink button.

I also can't communicate w/ CG Precision as they don't have a listed phone number or email address.

Any thoughts?

Unfortunately the only fix is to email them and wait for a response, they are running behind and its taking a long time to process orders or respond to emails
