Hey guys, my name is Mike and I just purchased a 2022 Comp Xdrive.

I went to get my AST springs installed at a place in NJ, Ill leave the name out to not shame a business. But they installed the springs, I pull out of the parking lot..... and I hear something crack

I though it was nothing kept driving and now I'm hearing metal clinking back and forth almost like something was dragging on the ground.

I went back to the shop and they told me that the front axel bolt snapped..... so they replace both right and left axel bolts with replacement bolts.

NEXT the CEL was on and apparently when the bolt broke it shredded the wheel speed sensor, which they also had to replace.

I am just super nervous that maybe something else is wrong, I drove it home and it seemed fine.

Has anyone had this happen? and can someone ease my worrying please with something positive here lol tom @ eas

Positive news is that none of this is caused by installing lowering springs.

Bolts shouldn't be snapping unless they were not tightened to spec (ie: impact gun) or cause a CEL. These issues sounds installer-related, but can't really say without knowing all the details. If you feel sloppy work was performed, get a 2nd opinion from another shop to be 100% sure.

No, its best to reach out to an independent (non-dealership) to perform the inspection for you. Most times they will communicate better one-on-one than a dealership just trying to get vehicles in and out as quickly as possible.
