I get that if you want a car now and are impatient - then there is a mark up.
But for cars that you put an order down for and are waiting 6-12 months for should not be getting a mark up in my opinion.

I know it is not a good time to get lease these cars but what would be a good (in these times) monthly payment for one.

If you put a little bit of effort, you will be able to find a good amount of dealers who are selling allocations for MSRP. But most of them might have a waitlist.

I think our system works just the way it's supposed to. Free market. If a dealer chooses to mark up that's their business decision and as a consumer you can either pay or take your business elsewhere.

Yes sorry Springfield.
And actually it was you Art who quoted me that.
But as you say - let's not discuss pricing.
We have one more Art, not sure if it was him, but I never quoted anyone 10k over msrp, just saying.

Curious too. Sounds like the days of a fully loaded M3/M4 lease $0 down ~$800/m are long gone

Long gone!!! I think they will be back in a few years though. I think the world is going to have a major slowdown. The lack of demand will put the supply side of the dynamic back into equilibrium with demand. It sometimes takes something like that to reset everything. Whats going on in Ukraine, China and our own country as far as inflation and everything...we have a rude awakening coming.

Orlando, FL here.
Just went to the dealer last weekend.
NO ADM + 8-12 MONTHS WAIT....
I have a daily driver and I am willing to wait for a while and actually I've been waiting for 2 years now. It's just the current market make me hopeless...Should I go now? or wait another 2 years...I know paying MSRP is a good deal in the current market...But still I hate paying MSRP and getting a "brand new" 2023 model car in 2023 when 2024 model already becomes available at that time....

I don't think so. I bought a lot of cars from them over the years. If you need a name, message me.

Just get on the list and decide later. Not losing anything. If you keep waiting to even get on a list , you may never ..

My opinion might sound biased, but look at it this way. If you are waiting for a car at MSRP for 8-12 months, you will probably see an MSRP increase for a MY23 and considering that all the rates are going up monthly, you might as well find one now and pay a couple grand over MSRP..

Hey all - been trying to read through here but may have stale info. What’s the current base bmw select financing rate? Found a dealer willing to do MSRP in Cali but rate seems high (4.5%) plus a couple mandated add ons plus a $2500 deposit. Are there any go to places to try? I’m in a current lease that’s not up until the end of the year but reading here, seems like I may need to get on a list sooner than later.

Unless you don't qualify for BMWFS Elite or Super Elite credit tier, they are marking up the rate. Current 60 month rate is 3.49% and I believe the maximum they are allowed to mark up is 1%, ie., to 4.49%.

I haven’t had credit pulled or anything so that’s just a marked up rate. It’s quite the frustrating market to be in here. Really want a M3 comp but the dealers these days are making it tough. The wife rather me get a Model 3 performance just since it is what it is there.

I got quoted 4.5% on 60 months with my dealer today. Just called up Navy Federal and hoping to get a much lower rate.

I was hounding my dealer for the past month to take my loan app and lock me in, but he kept putting it off saying he prefers to wait until the boat has been assigned. Not pleased to say the least.
