If you want the opinion of a complete stranger, I’d say do it! In all seriousness, the light wheel works so well on the darker color!

Looking forward to seeing how they look on your car, since mine is SSG too.
Unfortunately, I don't know the exact color specification (resp. RAL), I had selected one of the numerous color cards they had to choose from. The finish is satin.

this trend of bi-colour black/silver wheels that OEMs have been doing for the past 5+ years is atrocious.

G8x wheels look so much better in all-silver

I just picked up some Orbit Grey Jahre wheels and will be swapping my bi-colors for them. Going for a really stealthy look!

Now I’m on the hunt for two, 20” wheels before powder coating. Love the look of the square setup.

Dammit that looms good but I'm cursing cleaning my wheels now.

I had the bi-color 826 on my first M4 in BG and always thought that they were gorgeous but would be better in silver. I see from the pic above that I was right.

I sold that car before I did anything to it.

My current M4 is ... can't remember the acronym, but metallic black, and the 826 are black (it was off the lot, I wouldn't have ordered that). Black on black looks great, of course, for those 34 seconds after I have washed it. Then it's black on kind of a brownish hazy black. As you all have experienced, I'm sure.

I had a former domestic car that had bicolor wheels that I was thinking of having powder coated. That's not cheap, so I first bought some of that paint that you can peel off, and painted the wheels from a rattle can. Well, 4 cans. It needs to be thick so that you can peel it easier.

It didn't look so good, the bi-color on that car (grey) really was nicer, so I got out the pressure washer and took it all off.

But yeah, if my car was a lighter color, I'd seriously do what some of you guys are doing. Nice work so far. And I love the gold wheels on that car on page 2! Even if was just a photoshop...

I'm sure it will look great. Maybe a slightly darker silver shade (something between classic silver and the Orbit Grey 826M from the 50 Jahre edition).
