New Voodoo M3 want to run 826 20 up front, help please!
Hey guys!
New Voodoo M3 here with every option besides carbon buckets (dang you thick legs). Anyways, I am absolutely loving the car, but hate the 19's up front and want to run some 20 inch 826's up front. BTW, my car has port installed M performance coilovers so it's lowered. I have a beat on some 20 inch 826's. I see some people have done this, does it work, will it rub a lot. Someone who has done it please guide me. Thanks in advance, Jesse |

Absolutely love your spec. So striking and clean.
I'm running the squared 20" 826M setup on my '22 Comp xDrive. Lowered on KW's HAS kit, 12mm Future Classic spacers all around, and yes - it'll rub. I had to trim the fins and some surrounding plastic in the front fender liners significantly to minimize the rubbing as much as possible. I then took zip ties and zip tied the fender liners to keep them as far away from the tires as possible, again to minimize rubbing. A more elegant solution is buying the replacement fender liners from IND but it'll set you back $800-900 or so IIRC. I love the look and wouldn't go back, but it was not a pretty process to get the 20's to fit in the front. |

The 20s with 285/30/20 tires and 19s with the 275/35/19 tires are the same diameter (within 0.1 inches). The offset of the 20s up front will be like putting 13mm spacers on the stock fronts

On paper this seems to be true as I remember getting the same result when calculating, but I went from a 15mm spacer up front when running the 19's to a 12mm spacer with the 20's and it kept the tire/wheel poke very similar. Didn't measure but I can tell you not running any spacer at all (or something like 2-3mm like implied here) would have resulted in a very awkward look.

I think you would be good to go but would advise asking IND to confirm ahead of purchasing. You could also probably have a local performance shop modify your fender liners to replicate the IND ones for certainly much lower cost.

Would also love to know what mods are needed to not run. Just ordered a set of square 827m

I haven’t done anything. I do have the Fall-Line monoball kit which helps to prevent the the from moving back and forth compared to the OEM big rubber bushing. Mine rubs minimally.

You’re rubbing up front, 20” squared. Questions: what tire size are you running in front, what exactly is it rubbing? Was it rubbing before you put spacers on or is it rubbing on the inside? |

If I am on the OEM Pirellis, does anyone know if 285/30/20 will work up front assuming I do trim the fender liners? I know they run wide but wasn't sure if it's a total non-starter even with fender modifications.
