Looks much brighter in the daylight.

Also, it takes some big stones to already break the 'no drinks in the new car' rule.

I try to spill a milkshake in the car as soon as possible to break the ice.

Anyone looking to get any trim besides CF, you only get the nice CF paddles if you opt for CF trim.

Good plan. This trim looks good and is a nice choice. As others have said, it depends on what look you're going after. CF is nice as well, great to have options.

It's a family tradition going back to the first milkshake spill in the 1995 corvette.

And I do love it more today. Last picture. Notice how nicely it matches the album art!

I got the CF trim because I really like the look and the additional trim around the steering wheel but the ARA looks sharp. I like that it is different, I've never seen a trim like that.

It's reminiscent of the trim I had on my 535 m sport which was an aluminum tetragonal trim - shiny and uniform. This feels higher quality and more a muted elegance than that sporty mechanical look.

That being said, CF trim is better but I'm happy

Be a little careful with this trim, if it's similar to textured or brushed aluminum trims I've encountered in other BMWs. They're susceptible to scratches in normal use over the course of a few years (especially with careless passengers). Items like seat belt buckles and rings are the most common culprits. PPF might do wonders on the center console piece; the other pieces are generally out of harm's way.

Hmmm
I'm careful with the interior as are my passengers😉
But just the occasional microfiber to dust can scratch gloss finishes .
That's why anthracite is the winner over gloss CF

For anyone who don't like glossy trim,

The oem m performance kit is a nice alternative

How does one obtain this matte CF interior?

The older aluminum tetragon and the newer rhombicle are a decent contrast against black interior. I've been happy with the tetragon, overall, for 18+ months with my car. The carbon fiber on my M2C made the car just black, black, and more black inside.

With no carbon exterior or interior pack, I did get asked by two people "is the roof the only carbon fiber on this car?" at the CCA Motorfest a couple of weeks ago. Yes, indeed...this is the low-carbon version of the M3. I'm sure there's someone somewhere who has zero CF and has a sunroof, though...

Looks great!

Did you DIY, or have the dealer install?

I ordered parts from dealer and have them replaced my original trim.

It was due to incorrect order placed from Sales Manager. ( the stupid gloss black instead of carbon trim requested)

But I kind like the matte CF with no fingerprint and no sign of wear & tear, less reflection.
