Sweet. Not sure how they know that. It's probably more of a hope to have one by the end of the month, but good luck.

I'm waiting on an allocation since 3/26 being in the #1 spot at my dealer.

I feel so poorly about you guys that have been waiting for allocations forever. I literally called the nearest BMW dealer to me and they had an allocation for a manual M3 set to build in a week.

I put that downpayment in so fast.

Yea, not fun. The upside is I got a good deal and I don't need the car right now so the wait isn't a big deal. Just annoying.

Sounds about right to me with the discount you got. Would love to see better but might have to wait a while.

I was at Weatherford BMW in NorCal today and they have a 6MT M4 for sale with no mark-up if anyone is looking. Not sure if they are doing a deal. That thing is LOADED though, literally every option - it's like a $100k MSRP

Murray BMW in Salt Lake City offered invoice (about $4K off MSRP) on their in stock M4 manual. If anyone wants one PM me and I’ll intro you to their sales manager. https://www.bmwofmurray.com/inventory/new-2021-bmw-m4-coupe-rwd-2dr-car-wbs53az07mcg68514/

Just want to clarify. M models do not come with chrome window trims right? Always black?

From my observation, as of now all M3/M4 come with black window trims. Not the case with X3M and maybe other M models.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a new M3 with Select financing.

MSRP is $79K. $20K down results in a $813 monthly. This includes GAP.

Is there anything I need to be aware of with Select? I'm obviously aware of the balloon payment.

I've done Select many times. I love the option. At the end of your term, you have the option to refinance/pay off the car, sell to a dealership or sell private party. My most recent M4 was financed via Select. I sold private party 2 weeks ago.

They messed me around on the interest rate and size of the balloon so just get all of that in writing before you go in to sign

How much is gap from the dealer? I passed on that since I could add through allstate if I wanted. But I wont. That must be with tax too, eh?

My MSRP is around 77k, 5% off, and $0 down my payment is high 7's. 780ish. Keeping that huge down payment invested to put towards the balloon at the end. No sales tax here though. 28K balloon.

What are the sales tax implications in AZ? In CA tax is only paid on the monthly payment so Select would be a much more expensive option if the car is sold before it is paid off. If AZ is the same as CA then a lease will be the way to go. If you do decide to lease then do $0 down.

Also check to see if BMW offers GAP on Select financing. If so then do not put money down. In the small chance that the car is totaled your $20K will be flushed down the toilet.

Here are the numbers below. Dealer is quoting $1,500 on GAP. APR is 2.9%

Am I getting screwed?

MSRP is $79,745 - no discount

$20K down monthly is $813.78 (including sales tax)

So you are at $0 down and in the high 700's?

I believe AZ is the same as CA - tax is only paid on the monthly. BMW does offer GAP on Select and they're quoting me $1,500 total. State Farm does not offer GAP (I already checked)

Rough numbers on a lease is $1,200 with $0 down. Dealers out here aren't willing to budge off of MSRP.

It wasn't for me. I still owed $37k in payments when I sold mine a few weeks ago. Payoff after tax barely tipped at $39k.

As for your $20k example, that would apply regardless of what method you use to finance.

To me, something seems off. APR for my select (this month) is 0.9%.

I did forget to ask if its 3 or 5 year select. That would obviously make a huge difference.

Assuming 5 year. 38% Balloon would make yours $30,303.1
Meaning, over 5 years you'll owe $49,441.90 plus financing costs and taxes, so $824 + tax + financing costs.

But if you put $20k down, that's $49,441.90 - $20k = $29,441.90 over 5 years for a payment of $490 + tax + financing costs.

If you did 3 year Select, I'm not sure what the balloon percentage is on that program.

Hope that helps a little. I could be wrong though

I was told the lowest Select rate is 2.9% (assuming credit about 740) This a 5 year.

They said .9% is only avail on traditional finance.

I was told by BMW North Scottsdale & BMW on Camelback lowest on Select 5 year is 2.9%....

Even 2.9% is great. Right now Porsche is doing 4.6% for their top tier credit buyers.

The BMW financing calculator (https://www.bmwusa.com/financial-ser...estimator.html) shows 0.9% as the rate for a traditional 60 month loan or BMW Select in my area.
