Who has the red brake calipers and what do you think of them?

I guess I'll find out for myself soon enough. They look great on the configurator, but in some pictures and the few times I have briefly seen them in person they seem like a really bright red compared to a deeper richer red I have seen on other brands. Makes me concerned about them being a little bit too bright vs the rest of the car. What do those of you that have them think? Too bright or just about right?

They're a dark red. Like a beet or merlot more than cherry.

I think they look great, really pops behind the wheels. But it's not like this is something new, Brembos have been around for ages. The red is definitely my choice over the blue on most colors.

Right. Red Brembos are what I was talking about. I just thought these looked brighter than I remember those being but maybe they aren't.

I got them. 98% of the time, they are covered in brake dust. But when they are clean look really good.

I ordered them with IOMG and I like them, although others may think it looks like a Christmas tree. Interior is black.

I want to know how the blues fair on this regard. Brake dust is such a pain.

I removed the front wheels about once every 6 weeks on my F87 to full clean the blue calipers. They definitely hid the the brake dust better than red ones will.

I did see a big difference in dust amount when I switched from stock pads to StopTech ones. Much better. I'll be looking forward to aftermarket pads for the G8x.

I love the red calipers, they look best with dark wheels and a darker car. Imho

Wow, removing the wheel is way more effort than I'll ever put in or have the capability for, but I have noticed more dust on the red than I noticed on the blue on my last car.

Honestly, doesn't take that much time. It began when I was trying to clean salt out of my wheel wells in the winter and just turned into a habit after that. One of these days I'll get a set of QuickJacks to make it even easier but for now it's <5 minutes per corner of extra effort.
