This is a great resource to understand what each step means (if you didn't read it already).

Based on your current step, you should be at step 150. Depending on your build, you can expect your car to finish full assembly and leave the factory in about 1-2 weeks.

Where do you get your build week number? Mygarage has been stuck in order received because I changed to carbon fiber seats. All the dealer can tell me is "mid April" it may be built. Seems excessive when I placed my original order in January.

Mine hits the port in Baltimore on Tuesday. Then 3-5 days to get to the dealer in Cincinnati. They need one day and then I pick it up...

My CA gave me my buid week. Mine is at 112 scheduled for production.

When I placed my order, I was told CF seats would slow my production up because there was a shortage of stock, placed order in Jan as well.

Same here. My CA sent me the screenshot from his email showing week 13 for me. I imagine the Genius's might know as well.

Side note - it doesn't seem like the dealer Genius's really panned out to be so useful. It doesn't seem like they need to pay a non-sales person to be there and just be smart when the CA's could probably fill that role just as well for the most part.

Well my production week just changed. I was week 13 and status 112 and it has gone back to order received. Called BMW Genius and they said it has moved to week of 4/15 for completion so it got bumped 3 weeks.

No idea...it is strange. I didn't change the order. It was 112 all weekend.

Well I’ve had the production number and 111 status since Dec 15. Initially my build week was 6. Dealer told me 3 weeks ago it got pushed back to week 10 due to possible back order of parts. I called bmw genius today and they have an estimate of build week 13 but that’s not absolute and could be sooner or later. So my head is spinning sadly. Let me know y’all’s thoughts. Glad I’m not alone. My spec below:

Did you speak to someone at genius or was this the automated message? I think this has to do with demand of seats.

I did speak to an actual person. She did not sound certain it would be week 13 which makes me feel a little better but still

I was told by my sales guy... I told him I needed it asap, he said if you go CF seats you’ll likely delay due to lead times.

Yea, i don’t know... I mean, at the end of the day it would have driven up the cost/wait.
But at that point, I wasn’t backing out of a deal over it. Not sure if it was factual or not. But i do see a lot of people whom happen to have CF seat orders... not fulfilled; meanwhile, i’m in transit to final port.

Do not believe your dealer! Delay in car industry on this scale is 1-2 weeks max and there must be a big flaw in the technical part. They have backup suppliers.

He doesnt have allocation. 90% dealers are shady and just promise you anything for a coin. I ordered M3 on January-promised to be a first customer in March, now i contacted the dealer and he said BMW let them down and that they are pissed.. yes fairytales.. I went to another bmw dealer who ordered 4 bmw m3 and m4 for march and april to end customers. Showed me his last allocation for end of March, delivery mid of April and i sealed the deal - i speced max including CF seats, without driver pro package - never aigain i will buy a car without confirmed allocation - production number is nothing without scheduled allocation. If you dont recieve the car is completed status for next month after your intitial order then your dealer is deceiving you.
