Help With A Color Match

Long story short, my wife had a 2013 640i in Deep Sea Metallic Blue and loved the color and the car (oyster white interior), M stuff, and every package they offered on the damn thing.

I am looking to order in the somewhat medium term future (read, before the M4 goes away from gasoline as the only fuel) a M4 convertible in Individual color that matches fairly close to the Deep Sea Metallic Blue from 2013.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any ideas of current Individual paint colors (or 'stock' ones now) offered that would match?

I have not been down to my dealer to check paint samples yet and have just started here for some ideas. Or no ideas.

Here are some pics of the color, as best you can visualize it (I know cameras, computer monitors, phone displays all show up differently).

Hard to really tell but it looks like Tanzanite would be somewhat close.

You could play around with the BMW Individualizer website as well but the hard part there is the colors don't necessarily match that well to real life. However, you could find a few closer matches on there then Google the paint name for some real world examples.

Blue Onyx Metallic, is probably the closest you're going to get to what you're looking for. The second picture, is Tanzanite Blue II, next to my Dravit Gray car. The Tanz is almost electric in the sun. Very intense. The E30 is also another one, Macao Blue. And, believe it, or not, the F80 is said to be Azurite Black.

My vote would be Tanzanite Blue. Not an exact match but your wife might very well fall in love all over again!

Don't believe Azurite is currently available.

Thanks for the reply calbears since you're very familiar with the ordering of colors, you definitely have the best input. I have horse blinders on, and I'm one track minded on the G8X platform. I know you order colors for all of the chassis codes. Thank you.

I get analysis paralysis sometimes trying to get close to that color so this definitely helps narrow it to a few, instead the 20 that I kept waffling around with.

Now comes the thought of do I loop her in on the color selection or try and surprise her and just order the damn thing? Leaning to looping her in, but with a handful of close matches and seeing which she chooses, but I'm not sure.
