So my first thread had a cold car and a standstill rpm rev up to redline which definitely showed more rasp at the 7k plus level. Now I do feel this video (left my car at his shop) is probably the most indicative of what the G80 sounds like with both suitcase resonators out.

I still have not changed the straights to an H or X but this video is clearly a more reflective sound of what you will hear outside of the car. This was taken when the car was hot (it had been driven fairly strong for about 30-40 plus minutes and then sat for an hour or so). There is still some rasp way up but in the real world we wont be banging off the limiter at will- well maybe some.

With a better recording device and drive away vid; this one should be a more realistic portrayal for those who want to do the mod OR not... Hey it was 300 bucks or so

And the prior cold start (was driven maybe 1/10th of a mile to quiet area) where the quality of my video hardware guy Sam Sung shows the raspyness up top:

Yes I think the blend of the nasty cold engine and audio quality played a bit of a role here. The warm engine changes things for sure.

I like the way it sounds. I have an appointment to have both resonators removed at the end of June for $350.
