Fun day for a G80 and G82 walk around - IOM M4, Brooklyn Grey M3 Alpine White M4

I am working on the video now but I took a ton of pictures as well of course!

BMW Seattle has 3 with more coming soon.

I really liked all 3 in person, there is something about the scale or perspective is better in person, yes even including the kidneys.

I’ve seen two of them including the one in the picture here and it’s really, really cool. This paint suit the car very well.

The problem for me is that when I met my wife she had just won an international model/pageant competition and one of her prices was a new car...a hateful Hyundai in a green that looks just like IOMG. The MT on that car was the worst ever, like stiring soup with a wet noodle. She will never agree to IOMG

Why the weird contrast filter? Makes it tough to see what they actually look like. Glad you enjoyed them!

I really am liking the Alpine White. It would look great with Silverstone interior.

Lighting was incredibly rough.. I would have bright sun, 5min later overcast and pouring rain, 5min later high filtered overcast, or just awful overhead lighting.

Plus.. all shots off my phone. 8)

I prefer IOMG but went with BG because it'll be a daily and BG will hide the dirt/marks better. IOMG is stunning, but I feel like unless you keep it pristine it will look dull really quickly

This is like one of the hardest choices for me. Every day I change my mind

Leaning IoMG currently. Just worry it might draw too much attention.

Living in LA, I'm usually out & about at night. Although I drive civil all the time, you will stick out to cops.

With that being said regardless of exterior color.

Red Calipers , 826m Bi-Color , M Carbon Exterior Package

Kyalami Orange Extended Interior .. instead of full trim.

I prefer my lower dash be black, for better contrast.

+ M Carbon Bucket Seats

Boom. Bam. That's a winner right there

My main concerns with a flashy color are:
- harder to keep clean
- easier for cops to spot you
- more likely some prick will key your car

Damn if IOMG isn't tempting though, that color is absolute fire

I should know more in the next few hours if I can release the video.. I may have been a little too early for that type of content. Embargo ends on the 10th, but I thought that was just driving videos.. maybe not.

I guessed BMW was knocking on the door, but they were fast

For others it usually took a day or so

Just curious, why not full leather? i am also leaning towards extended solely because i like the full black under the dash. i am doing KO interior.

I will have the driving videos up soon as I got some wheel time with the G82 M4 Comp, and a G80 M3 competition.

My first observation, and I hate to say it, is that I don't really fit the CF bucket seats. I REALLY LOVE those seats and even the aggressive method you need to get in and out of the seats is ok. Granted, I only had about 20min of seat time, but found after a few minutes the space between the center divider and the right bolster was just a little too small, or at least felt that way.

Video up soon though!

Have you seen both extended and full leather on the G8X? I have and to me there is a substantial difference in quality unfortunately. Full leather improves dash appearance quite a lot and adds stitching to upper doors. Without it everything is just the run of the mill bumpy padded plastic you get in every car. Not the end of the world but definitely notably better with leather, particularly to door trim.

I think a lot of people are going to regret the buckets when the sheen and looks have worn off.

I haven't even seen the G80 in person lol.

But ill definitely check out the differences you mentioned when I visit my local dealer.

If requested, and opted for the full leather. You think BMW would accommodate a full black dash ? Upper+Lower

Worth a shot right.

Or going individual would for sure solve my issue.

Some awesome colors there. IoMG wasn't one of the choices I'd normally consider, but it sure does look good. If someone adds some nice gold/bronze wheels to that thing, it'll look amazing.
