Should I go lower?

I’ve had my car since Christmas. I got the port installed HAS. The rear looks spot on, but I’m thinking the front could go a bit lower. I’m a little concerned about the ride quality by going much lower. It’s already firm.

Any spacers? Add some 12s or 15mms and you may not want to go lower after that.

I would dump it. I have my fronts max low and no issues on 15mm spacers with the same tires.

Do you get any scraping or bouncing in road dips?

I don't have a ton of time driving it but I've taken it for some aggressive rips and it's been issue free. I'm adding a lip next week so we'll see if that changes but without a lip, no issues at all. Your car looks great and I think lowering the front will better match what you have going in the rear.

Thanks. I’ll give it a try.

You will be happy with the way it looks and performs, I’m confident. It’s going to fill out the front nicely. Take some pictures when you get around to it.

Will do. Is it very hard or take long to adjust them?

It’s super easy, especially the fronts. Did they leave the spanner wrenches in the trunk? You just dial down the blue collar. Here’s a pic of mine from taken all the way down.

Cool, thanks. Yep, got the spaners in the trunk. I’ll give it a shot tomorrow. I’ve read I’ll need an alignment afterwards.

Have you done your break-in service yet? If not, you can wait until that for the alignment while you dial in your desired height.

Yeah, had it done last month. Funny thing my dealer said they couldn’t do the adjustment and I would need to go to a “performance shop”.

Haha that’s crazy. It’s literally a few wrench turns. It’s nice to learn to do it yourself though. Then you can raise/ lower as needed and really dial it in where you like it. Paying for alignments does suck though.

My dealer said they recommend an alignment after adjusting MPerf HAS. Wondering if anyone has experience not doing alignment?

One additional thought is you might want to consider moving your 12mm spacers from the front to the rear and getting a set of 15mm spacers for the front. I have no issues with the 15mm up front, max low and 12's in the rear. I misspoke earlier when I said that I had 12mm in the front, I have 15f/12r with the Michelin PS4s and no rub at all.

It's a good rule to get an alignment after any suspension adjustments to avoid uneven tire wear. Also, you should wait maybe a week or two to let the suspension settle. You don't have to go to the dealer though, they're usually way overpriced. I'd look around for options. I have a tire chain store here that does alignments for about 80 bucks using a Hunter alignment machine. There are also places that will do lifetime alignments for around $200 using good machines like Hunter.

Try to find a local spot that does one of those lifetime alignment deals, it's well worth it.

And thank you for your service!

Well, I just checked and it looks like it’s already at the lowest setting. That’s how it came from the port. I’ve read they set it at 10mm drop at port.

Mine measures the same as yours. For some reason mine looks lower than yours but it’s not. Perhaps my tires having dressing on them and looking blacker makes it blend better? Not sure. Ride on mine is perfect and I’m pleased with the HAS kit. I had heard from someone else that the NJ port was dropping the HAS kit all the way. I checked mine previously and it did look like it was maxed out.

What size spacers and tires do you have? I’m asking because I have 15mm front and mine looks lower too.

I’d measure mine but my car is getting PPF’d right now. Two positives here…1.) you don’t have to pay for alignment so we have funds for a 15mm front spacers! 2.) the car drives great at the lowest setting

I will measure mine just to confirm when I get my car back next week.

No spacers. I haven’t found them necessary and prefer just a bit of inset. Less rocks tossed about as well.

Going back and looking at photos of my car, then just looking at the real car, I think it just looks better in real life than in photos. The photos do exaggerate the gap a bit IMO.
