When you all changing the pads, are you just swapping the pads? Is there anything that needs to be done with the rotors?

Check surface for even/flat wear and make sure the outer edge doesn’t have an excessive amount of lip edge to it. If that’s all good, you can run another set of pads usually.

Heading in for an aftermarket wheel swap in a few weeks and considering these isweep pads...car has 10k miles on it (and otherwise perfect) so these new pads can just be installed on existing rotors, no prob? (Just noticed others had answered this up above...thanks!)

[QUOTE=M4CXG82;30966966]I am curious how many miles has everyone gone without hearing the screeching on their new brake pads.

Please state the brand of the brake pad as well, Thank you

I'm on the stock pads. did two days at Willowsprings raceway last October in my 23 M4XC with carbotect endurance pads, put the street pad back on and the brakes haven't squealed since.

Standard brakes. No issues. I do clean them with iron remover every few weeks a did the recommended multiple high speed stop to break in. Very occasionally after rain I get a slight noise on stopping but goes away after some reasonable stops.

Regarding the hard driving....you only need to do that once in a while to keep the pads well bedded. And keep them clean. Make sure you do a good job cleaning the calipers out with a pressure washer when you wash the car. That will help alleviate a lot of the squealing.
How much pressure can the wheels & brakes take?

I use an SPX3000 with a 40° tip to rinse the car. Is is safe to use the 25° tip on the wheels?
