Same applies to V3/V4, as they both retain stock strut mounts. V4/V5 KW Clubsports come equipped with Camber Plates and can use different springs.

You simply swap them out and you're good to go! This is something I would consult someone with experience on. They make suggest to go with a longer/short spring if there's a drastic difference in lbs.
You'll have the benefit of a tunable shock, lowered ride and you could technically get a spring as soft as a luxury car. tom @ eas Can help you get squared away with this. Another thing to consider is your wheel size. The more wheel, the less tire. Tires do a lot of dampening. I'm running square 827 20" and there was a very noticeable difference in comfort going up only 1". My wife's car came with 20s and I swapped her wheels out for 18s to soften it up a bit for her. She wants the sporty look without the sporty ride. |

KW HAS kit here. The ride quality is par, if not slightly better, that stock. That's with the front all the way lowered and the rear leveled to the front. It's a great setup imo....I'm very happy.

Does KW now use a 60 mm inner diameter (ID) on the lower tapered spring that comes with V3? In the past you’d have to machine the seat to make a v3 work with a 60 mm ID springs or buy a new lower spring seat already made for 60 mm ID springs. I think it’s intentional because they want you to spend more money on their CS line to get linear race springs. Last edited by M3SQRD; 03-08-2024 at 11:15 AM.. |

Sport and Sport+ feel even better now too, though stiffer. Best way I can describe it is it feels as if it's how the car was supposed to come from factory.

BTW, tires have virtually no damping (0.1-0.4% of critical damping). The dampers have to control the sprung mass, unsprung mass and the tires. I think you’re talking about compliance, not damping (viscous or structural). Two very different things. |

So did these lots of people just buy swift springs and directly swap the v3 tapered spring with the swift constant ID spring on the v3 damper without doing anything else? I honestly don’t know and that’s why I originally asked you because you said in an earlier post it’s a simple swap. If it’s so simple why haven’t you answered my questions? I think it’s because you can’t answer them. I also find it interesting that you use swift springs by name. Is the swap only possible with swift springs?

Generally the best springs are either Swift or Hyperco, both known for consistency and quality control, and you can get them in basically whatever rate you want. |
