Hi everyone,

What vendors are selling high durometer mounts for the 6MT transmission in our cars?

There is significant driveline flex which I would like to reduce or eliminate if possible.

I already have that. That's not what I am asking. I am talking about the rear of the actual transmission.

I've been looking for the same thing. I emailed Rogue Engineering and VTT asking if they had any plans for mounts or inserts and both said no. Looking like we may be out of luck unless we can come up with more interest for it.

Ughhh, that's discouraging. I will investigate the rear transmission mounts when I get under the carvto replace the shifter carrier bushings, hopefully soon.

I wanted to do an Autosolutions SSK later this year and also noticed the flex when under acceleration. It sometimes won't even let me shift 1->2 with this flex. Searched the forums and someone asked Ron about it...

Forgot to mention, I asked Ron about the rear bushing upgrade some vendors sell. He said he would keep the OEM rear bushing, which allows the shifter/carrier to move with the transmission. This is most important for precise shifting. Replacing the rear bushing means the shifter might feel a bit more solid when wiggling it, but it will be more locked in with the body, and the transmission can 'move away' from the shifter under load.

He said the only time you'd want to replace the rear bushing is if you went w a hard transmission mount, limiting its movement from the body. Then you could do the rear carrier bushing also to tie all 3 shifter/body/transmission together in a solid way.

I don't plan to upgrade until end of year but I will ask about it when I do order.

Yeah, I may end up buying a spare mount and filling it with polyurethane just to see how it goes. I have VTT rear diff and engine mount inserts that I’m waiting to install as well.
