While I enjoy the new models and options available with the M3, I just can't help but think that this car is a standard x-drive with a tune and some cosmetic changes; limited, yes, retain value better than standard M3, sure, but just not that exciting. The cosmetic changes just make the car look too busy. And a 75lbs savings...I mean, throw a set of lightweight wheels and a new exhaust and you're pretty much there with a X-Drive M3.

F-series CS's drove better than standard/comp models, I can only imagine how the G-series CS's will drive since the standard/comp cars are already more cohesive to drive than the F-series CS's.
Looking forward to the reviews.

$148k in Canada damn, that's before PDI/Freight. Add luxury tax, then sales tax on top of that, holy smokes. Will be around $170k all said and done.

You bet! Finally a 19/20 wheel option for the G8X that is not black/dark. Unfortunately the photos so far are only with the black wheels, but the gold wheels look so good in the video. I hope there will be pictures with the gold version soon. Very tempting.

I understand the approach of a limited run edition like this… But it only makes me more happy that I chose my ‘23 6MT. I have all the same technology, along with a manual transmission, and can tune it to make as much power as any of these limited run cars have. I think they would have hit the mark much better if they offered this with a beefed up manual transmission AND xDrive.
If you are going to spend upwards of $120,000, BMW should definitely have considered a more aggressive transmission option and adjustable suspension. This is just a lazy attempt to dress up an M3CX. Maybe CS should just stand for California special like the Mustangs… |

3 years later and still not sold on the front end of the G8x. I don't think it will ever look good. BMW design..what were you thinking?

Except you get two more doors and back seats. If they had made an M5 CSL with no back seats I’d have zero interest .. even if it was some how cheaper. Just depends on what you want I guess. I’m digging the Signal Green here. It’s nice they are offering options I guess but would have been baller of the 118k price tag included CCBs. I’d be tempted to tell my wife the Volvo has to go and she’s got an M3 CS now. 😂

Was not stated how many units for "strictly limited production"?
Probably once these CS's start to sit on stealership lots with the MAP adder after the 1st takers bite, then production will cease so there are no F80 CS lease fire sales from years ago.

I would love to see what the revenue difference between the competition and the CS. I suspect it’s not going to be as bad as the F8x CS where dealers were giving huge discounts to just get them off the showroom (because shortages). I have a hard time justifying the price difference for no cup holders an ugly hood and 40 extra hp (just from a boost increase)
