Sorry to hear. What was your build spec? Any carbon buckets? Individual options?

I also went from 112 to 111. Week 19 to week 24. At this point, I think I'm gonna get a MY2023 which is kinda meh. My CA accidentally removed carbon bucket seats when I didn't instruct him to do so which triggered something that made the order go from 112 to 111. Added back the carbon bucket seats and removed wireless charging option. Saved $500!

Also for those getting xpel stealth ppf, I was quoted 7500 for full xpel stealth ppf with window tints and all weather mats thrown in from the dealer

Did they actually say "build week 19"? Or "week 19"? When I call I noticed Genius usually says something like "scheduled to start week 17", which is why I'm assuming means completion of week 19. I still can't tell if I should be in the week 17 thread or here.
Could be true. Every time I call BMW they flip flop and tell me I'm either Week 17 or Week 19. So it could possibly be true that the build starts Week 17 and is finished by Week 19. Guess we will find out shortly when week 17 approaches.

My CA says my status is again "Order Accepted at AG" (that shows as "Order Received" in My Garage) and my build week is now 20.

My build is standard, as noted in my signature text (including standard seats). No individualization options, just used the Build Your Own tool on the BMW USA website.

I at first ordered the Fjord Blue interior but it resulted in no production week whatsoever.

Welcome!! You’ll be with us for the duration, once assigned to week 19 think of us like a roach motel; you can check in, but you’ll never check out!

In all of this craziness, maybe this is the right attitude!

I got a nice chuckle from this post - thanks!

Well shoot

Looks like I am no longer week 19. I have been considering the ceramic brakes for a while now, and today I added them to my build. I was fully aware that I could get bumped with this change, and indeed my Sales Manager said that I had been dropped to Status 105.

I just hope I get a 2022 model. I received my production number back in December, and have gone weeks 8 -> 16 -> 15 -> 19 and now ??.

Sorry to hear. I’ve been fighting the temptation to make changes for that very reason, but in the end for this kinda money get what you want is what I say!!

Honestly if you want to make changes, do it and deal with the production slip. Based on week 15 and 16 threads, it doesn't look like many people have been getting their VINs anyway, so unless the supply chain somehow miraculously fixes itself in the next 2-3 weeks, there's a good chance a lot of us here get bumped again too.

Like the person above said, for the money these things cost, get what you want. The wait will be worth it!

Interestingly the week 15/16 folks by and large have been making progress with their builds, it’s the week 17 M3 builds that have been jammed up and bounced around. Not much chatter from the week 18 crowd and the week 20-27 build people are just pissed that they got bumped that far. No rhyme or reason to this process just hurry up and wait!

This is exactly what was going through my head for the last week. I decided I wanted the ceramic brakes (despite their cost, but that is another discussion), but I knew I would likely get bumped again if I changed the build. But I would rather wait longer and get what I want. If I didn't make the change, I would always have a little regret. YOLO!

And in this strange world, you never know what's going to happen. There is no guarantee I wouldn't have been bumped from week 19 anyway. The only real bummer is if I get pushed to a 2023 model with either a big price bump or perhaps LCI changes I don't like. Or if I get the last 2022 off the line and it gets some kind of stop sale while others are getting their 2023s delivered.

I'm a little surprised that the CC brakes would necessarily delay the build; I'm guessing the take rate on them is fairly low and securing additional inventory shouldn't be that hard. But I guess nowadays everything is on a high-strung timetable that's sensitive to any changes.

This is what my sales manager said before we made the change. I was crossing fingers that nothing would change, but it immediately went to 105. He seemed to think it could just be temporary, but I guess we'll see.

I do wonder if any change is an excuse for them to reschedule, even if the brakes aren't necessarily the problem.

That's great news!

I just checked for first time in over a week and I'm still at 112, but I guess lately that's still a feat in itself so I'll take it
