That's promising. There were other anecdotal reports that plants would be idled for an additional week.

That's correct; 3/M3 at Munich, 4/M4 at Dingolfing.

Dingolfing is a giant factory. That's why they make so many different models. I think I read it's BMW's largest in Germany (Spartanburg, SC is BMW's largest factory in the world I believe).

I believe ALL M3s are built in Munich.

You are partially correct however in that some regular 3's are built in Mexico (San Luis Potosi).

I believe they produce 2- and 3-series at San Luis Potosí (MX), but not the M3.

I wonder if this helps some of us with RAM recall. Ie Instead of installing the latest RAM modules in production stages, they could supply that inventory to vehicles at the port.

On that note, maybe there will enough room on the boat for those already at the port since the LIFO system wont be in full effect
