I called last week and was told they were packing parts for mine currently. Hoping all the parts make it. I don’t think I have anything that would hold me up (no carbon packages aside for internal trim and roof), but seems that isn’t any guarantee at all.

I've moved to production begins and have been assigned a VIN. Was surprised given the other posts in this thread. I'm thinking I may have been prioritized because my production number was assigned in December? I have carbon buckets so I was really expecting another delay.

I got off the phone with Genius and I think I spoke to the same lady I spoke to yesterday. She said I'm week 15, and that shows up as "April 4th to April 8th." Which makes no sense because the 15th week of the year is April 11th-18th…am I missing something? Or am I week 14? But I also have yet to been assigned a vin, which she said will be Monday…when my car should go into 150. But does that make me week 14, or is the car going into production the week before the actual "week" we are assigned to? It's either she has the wrong calendar up or I'm missing something. She also mentioned something about "production pack" which I assume means they're putting everything together for production now? No idea 😂

Just got VIN number and went into 150. I received my production number in December and got pushed back once from week 8 M3 6 speed. I can finally apply for financing my credit union still has 1.99, but locks only 90 days hopefully have car in 90 days. I know for sure next month rates are going up.

US calendar accounts 1/1 (saturday) to be CW1 whereas German calendar calculates the following week to be CW1. This is the reason for the discrepancy.

That makes sense. I just realized 1/1 was a Saturday. So for us that means Week 15 is April 4-8 as Genius was saying? Just doesn't make sense because she said my car should go into production Monday and that's when I will have my VIN.

CW15 is the week of Apr 11 and a particular date in that week would correspond to production completion.

Typically, the vehicle would enter production a week of two prior to that date and you will have the VIN by then.

at least up to week 17 everyone should be at 112 or further. week 18 might also be 112 but not sure yet

Genius didnt mention a production pack, but he said I now have a confirmed start Week 17 April 24 - 30. I'm not sure if thats the same thing. He mentioned some people who got bumped from Week 15 to 17 did start early so I should continue to check. I've stayed in 112 so far and havent got moved back to 111 like I did when I got bumped from week 9 to 15.

Late to the party here (been busy with work), but I got bumped as well. Back to 111 on Monday, and found out by email from Genius that I am now week 19.

This is the 2nd time I have been bumped - I have gone week 8 > 16 > 15 > 19. I ordered a G80 6 MT with lot of options, but no buckets or CCBs. I did change my build once after I got bumped the first time - back in late February I added the carbon exterior package.

I can't really see any patterns in all of this. Seems almost completely random. I got my allocation back in December and was told "late March, early April delivery". (Ha - car will be a month from starting production at that point, which is now!). I am fully aware some have had it much worse than me, whereas some seem to breeze right through. Haven't some March allocations hit 150? It just doesn't make sense.

One thing is for sure though - it sucks a lot of the fun out of the process. Thankfully, I don't need the car now, and I don't have to worry about interest rates or money factors, but I fully understand why people get frustrated and go in a different direction.

Most definitely takes some of the fun out of the process. It's one thing to know you have x amount of time to wait for your car (similar to ordering a car a few years back). Now it's not as great of an experience. I'm sure once the car comes it'll all be worth it though!

If you are a week 15 build (next week) and still have not received a VIN. Appreciate this comment. I wonder if I'm the only one and potentially getting bumped..
