Hi Guys, I just ordered a BMW M3 x Drive. I called my dealer to see if I could add the carbon exterior package while it was on scheduled for production. My dealer said it would be 50/50. I was curious…. If it is accepted would it show up on my bmw tracker, or would it not because the order was already placed. 3 weeks later My m3 is already at the port and on my tracker it does not show the carbon package. What’s the chances they added it ??

In my experience I added the parking assistance package more than a month after being in order accepted status. It immediately showed up on the mybmw site after my SA added it to my build.

I would assume if they successfully added it to your build it should show up on the site. Perhaps ask your SA for an updated build sheet? You can also confirm that way.

It updated for me, as well. I changed the exterior color, and the interior color, and both changed as soon as the dealer updated it, and I logged out, and logged back in. No changes can be made after 150 status, though. Keep that in mind.

And isn’t this something they can add at PVC?

VPC can only install port installed options and i dont think exterior carbon fiber package is a part of that list.

It must have been VPC and its Vehicle Processing Center located in US ports.

Yeah I don’t know what going on. I will reach out on Tuesday after Memorial Day and see what happened. There should be no reason why they don’t add it. I made sure I called and asked for it while it was on scheduled for production.

Unless its an individual order, your dealer could have added CF exterior package while your vehicle was at 112.

If you dont see it in BMW tracker, its highly unlikely your vehicle has it.

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I’m going to find out if he even added it or not. I don’t see the point of why he wouldn’t. And I guess I can defend my argument by telling them i made sure I reached out to them before production started.
