Whats up everyone! New to the community here, living in denver. I drive a X3M Competition but trading it in for the M3 Comp, goes into production Week 41(october 9th-15) Schomp said more than likely a solid christmas present so we will see.

Where is my best bet to get an M3 allocation? I am on the list at Schomp. They said I am number 5. Should I just get on the list at every dealer in the state? I’m willing to go nationwide. Waiting 8 months isn’t bad but waiting 16 is going to be rough.

M3 lists are going to be pretty long. For example, Denver Downtown is selling at MSRP, but they have a list of 40+.

It's hard to predict which dealers will get allocations and how many, so I'd try and get on as many lists as possible. Dealers will usually ask for a deposit, but in my experience most won't run your card until an allocation comes through.

Yeah thats where i got my allocation was Schomp. I was on the list as number 4, 3 months later I received the allocation. Schomp is one of the highest producing BMW dealers in the west so it may go pretty fast.

I just went to Colorado springs and paid $5k over msrp to get my car in build fast. I’m sure I’ll regret it when schomp calls me a month into the build but at least I’ll have this thing by February.

Anybody have a shop you’d recommend for downpipes? I like bluewater. I know forza1976 on draggybhas a shop. Not sure the name of it.

Found one in New Jersey and moved from a week 41 build to at port. Much more palatable wait. IOMG on kyalami. Not my first choice on interior but may as well go all out on the race car. Hoping to have in a month and get some ethanol in it.

Finally got all my carbon in and on the car. Waited about 2.5 months but totally worth it! Might do some MP side skirts in the future unless some nicer ones come out but now on to the engine mods 😬

Hey guys,
I finally cancelled the order. It was not moving... still in the pool waiting for an allocation.
I moved to something different: I bought (and have) a new C8 corvette, been 3 weeks already.

Reasons:
a- long wait for the M4, line not moving, and I snatched an allocation for a C8 (1 month between order and delivery)
b- Looks, interior quality (on par with bimmer, or at least close), 8cyl exhaust note, and mid engine feel (albeit the M4 is imho faster on a straight line)
c- Track capable car (Z51 package + Mag Ride)
d- My company is getting me a loaded new truck for x-mas, so I don't need a 4x4 anymore.
e- ECU just has been cracked, so it can easily be supercharged/modded in the future.

Still happy to meet the community. I still think the M3/M4 is a beautiful wild beast, I just didn't get the chance to get one soon enough.
If you guys want to see and ride in a C8, lmk. It's a super fun car, I was impressed by the ride quality and how it handles itself. It could take 100 more whp without any issues.

Definitely interested in joining if I can get away from kid's activities. This weekend is out of the question for me. Sunday Oct 30 would be perfect.
