It was $4500 for me, maybe it differs by market.

Some of us lucked out and got the $3,750 discounted rate during the 50 Jahre celebration. Not sure if they're still running this.

My understanding is the discount applies to any car built between March 2022 and March 2023, that is equipped with the 50th anniversary badges. Those badges are free on M cars, so you get the full $750 discount. On non-Ms, there's a $200 upcharge for the badges, so the effective discount drops to $550.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread. Gorgeous color. Wish I could see it next to MBB in the flesh.

Lots of threads around showing them next to each other, just have to search the entire forum. They both look better in person, but at least you can compare them in a given picture.

MBB appears as slightly a lighter shade, and is absolutely pure blue. I would say both are equally saturated pigments, just a difference in undertones.

SMB appears a few shades darker because of the purple hints. The flake in SMB includes more "non-pure" blue shades which make it vary much more in different lights. There is a strong purple tint in many situations.

Can't go wrong with either.

Yeah I've seen the comparisons and both in person, but a side by side in person would be ideal!

But I do appreciate the input.

You're totally correct, in person is the only way. Cameras just can't capture the changes in color tint due to the flake. For instance, that last closeup of my trunk doesn't represent any of the purple hue that was very visible in person.

I still need to do a good photo shoot day, but agree cameras don't capture how great this color is.

Here are a couple pics.

Two beauties in a beautiful environment! An eye candy for someone like me living in a bread-and-butter district.

I went with a replica 3D Design lip from RW Carbon (I had a replica 3D-Design rear diffuser on my previous F80 that fit perfectly from them). I'm not going to spend $2500+ on the real thing when it's going to get pummeled by rocks/salt/etc.

Oh man! That's awesome. I am very happy with the Unit17, but to be honest I prefer the look of the 3d design. I wish o was patient enough to wait for a replica of it.

I wasn’t in love with a lot of the options out there so I just waited. This lip is about 3 weeks out or so. Obviously will post pics asap once it’s in
