While MBB seems to hide it's metallic effect somehow it also seems to be less dynamic to me...... I had seen MBB many weeks ago on an X5 and as I did not like it, I did not focus on this kind of blue tones....... until I have seen SMB 1-2 weeks ago on an M4. Itīs so stunning, dynamic and shows a lot of variety depending on slight changes of light..... slight changes of the sight angle. As I could not believe that these two colors differ so much in reality; I even went back to the MBB dealer to confirm that impression on a 2nd view....... no; MBB would not order...... I am just not sure, if SMB would work well on the M8 GC...... I am dithering between San Marino Blue and Aegean Blue (which unfortunately was impossible to see in reality for me though I have tried anything.....as pictures /videos on the web differ a lot regarding that color). I don't want to refrain the stunning SMB pics I have taken!! https://ibb.co/0Fq9Jqv https://ibb.co/Bg9tjbK https://ibb.co/jZ4zf5D (especially this impression is soooo far from MBB) https://ibb.co/qgSxw72 https://ibb.co/2NgnHvh https://ibb.co/GcGBvR9 The Aegean Blue pics from the Edelweiss Car here in the forum are awesome! This would be a real Individual color while SMB is a color that was (standard) available for M3 / M4. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1855122 These also amazing! https://m.vk.com/wall-36792820_3275570?lang=en https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1905736 https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=uJ3frYmJ0d0 https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threa...n-blue.264871/ But here some kind of boring and too dark! http://www.e38registry.org/aegaeisch...-95-3568-basf/ https://www.bmwccgbforum.co.uk/e39-5...opic16305.html https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=870399 So very difficult, what to expect with that color..... with all those black M elements on the car I don`t want to loose most of the contrast when choosing a color that is too dark. The impressions in the sun are amazing but I doubt if it might be too dark in overcast conditions...... even not sure how much brighter it is compared to Tanzanite Blue which only has some nice moments in sunny weather. |

San Marino Blue was first seen on, and was the launch color for, the previous generation M6 Cabrio. So
