Congrats! First steps of the journey in mosta cases go fast. When custom activities start and your package will have hold up in Finland… do not be surprised. My package waited extra day at the DHL partner facility prior being dispatched to Femto. Also estimated arrival was incorrect. The most important are step and updates where you will see courier pick up etc.

FYI for me Femto received ECU morning and already afternoon was shipped back.

On the way back I do not wish you same issues as I had. 4 days waiting in Denver, 60miles from my house. Finally after nice escalation receive the package today.

Happy but i cannot say I was not scared my ECU was lost by DHL.

yea they mailed me a g80 ecu to use as my unlocked ecu. so i had to ship my original ecu and the "extra" to femto. i had femto clone my original data to the extra ecu and ulocked it. so i have my oroginal ecu to install for warantee work. and the extra unlocked cloned ecu to use every other day

Just so you are aware, mileage and key cycles on the cloned ecu will not be updated on the original one, so if it's anything big warranty wise, more than likely stuck.

Good luck with warranty work changing DMEs. Also the DME is not the only thing recording parameters in the car.

Everyone wants to tune their car and keep the warranty. I will never understand. Can't have your cake and eat it too unless you go with carbahn.

Yep, same thing with people using piggybacks saying "Oh I can just remove it and they can never tell hurr hurr" like their car isn't recording all of these varying parameters changed by the piggybacks lol.

Hopefully a vendor didn’t sell you on that BS about the extra ECU? If so, they are scumbags cause as others have replied, you are not covered by re-installing. Just drive the shit out of it. If it breaks, you pay and fix it.

I’ve already swapped it out once last week and the mileage didn’t change. It was the same was when I removed the clone. I just logged into my bmw profile and everything was updated from and recognized. Idk if it’s stored it a cloud or something but mileage was the same. I Didn’t check the key cycles though

Mileage tracked on odo on the cluster will be right, but the mileage on the oem ecu will be off.

Hello guys here is my story with Femto unlock. I sent 2 ECM's Original and Donor with Euro Performance, waited 2 weeks and finally when arrived I installed cloned ecm into car. Car just cranking and no start, checked codes and it had Immobilizer code active, I swap my original ecm in and car stared all ok. On cloned ecm i checked over mhd it gets recognized that is femto unlocked and also VIN is correct. So now i'm stuck and need to ship this again. To just to give you some advice before you decide to do clone ecm.

Have you connected to cloned ecu with e-net cable before starting?

my original ecm had an immobilzer code also. I took the negative back off, and unplugged the front two or three ecm plugs, plugged them back in and put the negative cable back on and then it was gone and everything worked.

I solved it out, They had to connect to my laptop and use some kind of DME coding. After that immobilizer code went away and I got it working now.

This is why I recommend everyone to use @TristateBM3 or @OrlandoAutowerks they've done a lot of cars and get it right especially with the extra steps required for Cloning / Donors.
