My car is inbound to east Canada. The RAM issue was resolved on October 26th and I guess it missed the ship departed that day. I'm hoping it to board a ship tomorrow

My dealer has a printout of all cars on order. Mine still shows week 40 but I’ve been stuck in QC since 10/7. I can’t get any answers from them or BMW. Search tool still shows open status from RAM retrofit. Production started 9/22, this is beyond frustrating at point. It seems G82s get stuck longer than G80s.

You’ve suffered a particularly bad stroke of luck. My M4 was assembled on October 1, and it took its short train ride today from Charleston to Greer VPC. RAM stop sale is open, so it’ll be there a bit before anything happens.

It’s pretty damn frustrating, wouldn’t be so bad if I just knew what’s going on. Wondering if it has anything to do with the packages/options I ordered? My build is BSM M4 xdrive , exec/park assist/drivers assist, black marino ventilated seats and laserlights- nothing too unusual! What is your spec?

Those options minus park assist. Standard seats in full leather (Silverstone), shadowline headlights. xDrive as well.

I wonder if it’s the park assist. I never would have gotten it if I knew it would delay my build this long . Checked this am still in Quality Check. Looks like it will be at least 5 weeks in QC if no movement by tmrw.

I wouldn't be so sure. My car has park assist and I cleared QC in 6 days or so. Longer than normal still, but not as much as you. In addition to part shortages, I think we need to take the supply chain and specifically storage into account. With stop sales and slower transportation, BMW has to be careful not to overload the factory, rail yards, ports, ships, and VPCs. It seems simple but you need someplace to put the cars. My sense is that space constraints may also be slowing down the production process.

I think this is one of the biggest reasons why allocations have been so scarce

So…. My cars been at the port for 16 days waiting for a carrier. Genius just said because of the stop sale they want to fix it before the release the hold? My SA said they will fix it once it arrives to the states..
so who do I believe? Anyone else can speak on this ?

There was another thread by VancityG82 that said all cars still in QC at the factory would have RAM installed in week 43. Since week 43 has come and gone it seems like this was not the case. I have no clue what to think at this point I’m starting to give up on figuring anything out. As I’ve said many times my car went to QC status 10/7 and I’ve seen no movement since then. Search tool still shows open status for RAM retrofit, but genius and my SA have said repeatedly that my vin shows no stop sale. Starting to feel hopeless and have accepted that my car won’t be delivered before the end of the year.

All of the information I have is that the RAM stop sale is fixed once it reaches the port in the United States. I have heard that for other countries, they fix them in Germany. Anecdotally, there are vehicles at the port in Bremerhaven that have no stop sales on them that have been sitting just as long.
