I have now been stuck in quality check for three weeks. Was hoping to see some movement this week.

It's on the BMW UK website (bottom right to start live chat) - I think it only works in the UK, but I guess you can try it and see.

Hey! I've been week 40 with a few other individuals that have their cars in the USA already. We finished production early-mid october and only waited about a few days to get on a boat. The boat took about a week to get to the USA and my stop sale was resolved in a day and shipped to my dealer.

9/24 Production Begins
9/28 Genius told me my finished production date is 10/5
9/30 EXTERIOR BODY ASSEMBLY BEGINS
10/1 In the Paint Booth
10/05 AM: Dispatched from Factory overnight.
10/11 AM: At the Port
10/15 AM: In transit
10/26: At the Port (Baltimore)

Will post how long it takes for RAM issue to be cleared.

I checked this morning and my car has been dispatched from the factory. I believe this means my car is now on a ship. Like I said before, you should see some movement this week as stated in the RAM module stop sale thread. I’ve been in QC for three weeks and many others have been in QC for longer. Hopefully you will see movement by Friday.

Dispatched from factory means that you've finished production and in transit to the port. You'll then switch to At Port and then once loaded onto a ship and the ship has left the port you'll switch to In Transit. You'll then go back to At Port when it has arrived at the destination port.

My car was produced October 1 (last day of Week 39), though it was scheduled for completion the following Monday (first day of Week 40). It arrived at port quickly but took 11 days (about normal) to board a ship (Olympian Highway), which docked early today in Baltimore (my car continues on to Charleston). So technically my car’s in American waters.

Someone else’s car with slighter better fortunes might only wait a few days to board a vessel and disembark in New York or Baltimore. Those cars would be ashore at a VPC awaiting closure on their stop sale work orders — or maybe even en route to the dealership after having sailed through the VPC more quickly than most. Just sayin’ …

Apparently I'm offloading in Brunswick GA, not Charleston, according to genius. Fine with me. It sometimes docks in GA before SC from what I have seen.

Is the genius hotline open now? Thought they didn’t open till 9 am eastern time?

Hopefully they have an F1 style pit crew lined up ready to install my RAM in 2 sec or less when it rolls off the boat

Genius knew I was going to GA when I called on Monday but couldn't tell me what vessel.

Just called and found out I am on the Donington and expected to port in Brunswick GA on 11/8.
