Agree. They make great, vastly overpriced exhausts. Capristo also makes top quality, expensive systems. I wish Billy Boat made them for BMWs. You would be talking $2-3k then. There are cheaper alternatives, obviously, but for those who want them, why not? But don't assume those who don't see anywhere near the price/performance being there simply "can't afford" them. I--finally, like the sound from my M4C--valves fully open, and getting miles on it is 'seasoning' the exhaust note. Cost: zero. To me, that is spectacular price/performance...But, as always, you car, your money, your choice.

it’s because the Porsche exhaust is super short. G80 catback exhaust needs to go all the way from the front engine bay to the rear bumper - that’s a lot of titanium. also 4k is for the axle back without the Akra tips, as far as I know.

I appreciate Akra for their efforts. I truly do. It sounds good. To be honest though, IMHO, you can only do so much with the F8X and G8X platform. If sound is what you truly care about, find yourself a S65. NA produces better tone from bottom to top. Just my 0.02.

Even my S65 powered M3's were kind of blah. Maybe sound just isn't that important to me. You know what does sound good to me?…..Nissan 370Z's.

…if you think the Akra exhaust is worth the money, have at it. Don't accuse everybody else who feels differently of being unable to afford it just because they don't value it the same as you do. I wouldn't spend my thousands on it either. I won't buy the Akra for my 992 Carrera S either. It's not worth it to me AND I hate the oval tips (…the latter being part of the reason I didn't get the Porsche Sports Exhaust…..that, and who needs an even noisier Carrera?!?!). Akra products are crafted very nicely though.

the macan is slow and I hate the busy interior even though it's technically "nicer" than the X3.

and good call on not getting the PSE for the carrera it's a goddamn waste for barely any difference. finally, something we agree on

Not so sure about that; back in the day in the E9X forums, some members posted buyers regret sentiments because it wasn't loud enough. While Akra is a stellar product, it won't suite everyone's taste regardless of budget.
