Akra on E9x platform worked well due to S65 engine.

"Bad data in"…"bad data out" with S55 with 6 cylinder turbo. As has been discussed ad nauseam, there are ways to make this engine "sound better".

I never changed the exhaust on my 2015 F80. I like the angry lawnmower sound.

I have resonated kittyless downpipes paired with an akra evo system. It sounds deep and angry.

It only took two resonators (evo has a resonated mid pipe) to fix the S55 sound haha

…if you think the Akra exhaust is worth the money, have at it. Don't accuse everybody else who feels differently of being unable to afford it just because they don't value it the same as you do. I wouldn't spend my thousands on it either. I won't buy the Akra for my 992 Carrera S either. It's not worth it to me AND I hate the oval tips (…the latter being part of the reason I didn't get the Porsche Sports Exhaust…..that, and who needs an even noisier Carrera?!?!). Akra products are crafted very nicely though.

The $8k is referencing the G8X exhaust.

As for the Porsche, that sounds low. I've seen the exhaust cost over $4k.

I know. Im trying to understand how it costs double? Porsche tax is typically higher than BMWs. Does 8K include sport cat downpipes or something?

Im not sure about the 991. But I just bought one for my 2020 911 and it was 4600 bucks installed. Thats why I am shocked the BMW one is 8K. It must include sport cats?

The g80 one is the length of the car basically. $8k for Akra makes sense because the m performance will be $10k probably.

Yes you are right. The length would add to the materials cost. But I still have a hard time seeing it adding up to 8K.

But I dont build or sell exhausts so what do I know.
