Hey, just posting this incase it ever helps someone else. Installed JB4, that lower TMAP sensor was a real bitch, but anyway... Car would barely start, super rough idle for max of about 15 seconds before dieing. Drivetrain malfunction errors, and also parking assist errors. Long story short, opened the JB4 case and found that the pin for the black wire in position 25 on the dsub connector wasn't fully clicked into the connector. Minor mistake in the harness assembly by BMS guys, but took me a while to find it because at first I thought the issue was somehow related the the fuel-it ethanol sensor install I did at same time. After seating that pin fully, car started right up and all good after clearing codes.

Does anybody know how much wheel horsepower and torque the clutch can handle in the base M3?

I'm unsure but I have not seen it reach its limit on stock turbos.

Great, thanks! My car still on a boat in the Atlantic just getting pre-educated. I’ll start heading to performance shops here soon if I hear some credible horsepower limits to the manual clutch I’ll post them

After some proper time with JB4 installed I can say it's definitely good. I'm long time JB4 user on previous platforms. It's easily the best piggyback option.

Does anyone know how much lower of a ceiling for fueling the MT base tune has compared to comp tune? I'm only just starting to run some ethanol, and even at E20 there doesn't seem to be much headroom left for fuel trims. I think this aspect is being overlooked when people say you can achieve the same overall results with a JB4 on Base as Comp. Sure, you can turn boost up to same level, but fuel trims are going to max out quicker on the Base.

This may force me to a ECU unlock quicker than I expected, at which point the JB4 will have less appeal...

What do you mean exactly? Throw it down on the engine bay and there's really not a whole lot of options. The slack that is left after installing each connection I just coiled up once or twice and zip tied to keep it tidy.

Any mechanic can easily install it; you do not need a specialized tuning shop.

When I went to Uninstall my jb4 I had my hand under the pump I felt a drip or two in the picture below where the red arrow is where my leak was coming from. My bmw tech Said there is a Oring in there and when I was pressing up on it I could have pushed it off the ring just FYI to beware that it's possible.

I have these random wires coming out of my Bluetooth module can anyone explain the purpose of these? I opened it up and it doesn’t look like they are supposed to plug in anywhere

the picture is too zoomed in for me really see what this is, but I'm assuming this is the Bluetooth connector. you need to remove the black enclosure for it to fit inside the JB4 box

Do you mean the whitish/grey tab? What did you end up doing? Those connectors are so tight, that I can't imagine them working themselves loose even without the tab.

I left it without the tab. Haven’t had any issues in 3 weeks. Fingers crossed!
