Seems like they're out of stock now. I ordered mine over the weekend and received an email yesterday that they're waiting on stock by the end of this week.

Just installed this in the garage this morning. Wasn’t bad at all without a lift! Thankful for the center front jack point. Couple jack stands and wheel chocks in the back and it was good to go. Really nice design!

(Bought on Amazon, free two day shipping)

Make sure you transfer the airdam from the old plate to the new one (the rubber liner piece). That's what helps the pressure form to force air through the grill from beneath. You just pull it off the old one and friction fit it onto the new one.

I just put a Mishimoto skid plate on my 2024 M4 Competition. I was a little skeptical at first about that one but was extremely pleased with the quality, construction and ease of installation. I like that it has some space between the plate and oil cooler and that it is pretty rigid.

Ah yes I did that. Just grabbed this photo before I moved it over. Thanks!

Doesn’t it produce a low pressure area to help suck air past the filter? All meshes will reduce the airflow from designed value but I suspect this will make little difference unless extremes eg racing and high temps.

Mishimoto Installed

Easy. Center jack point definitely a bonus. This is one stout piece of kit for those wanting that piece of mind level and anyone doubting the quality - no worries there.

It doesn't make a difference. People's reported temperatures before and after are largely identical.

Yep. I’ve never seen temp be any different. There is plenty of airflow.

I will just put this here since there is a lot of discussion about different levels of protection from various options.

Dude hit a large rock in the middle of the road. I don't think anything will protect against that.

Yeah I never figured why someone will go with the turner one. Its pretty open and doesnt really protect the oil cooler. Although u could see that the aluminum skid place is also dented and broken. He must have really hit that rock hard. For the majority of us, I hope we dont have to encounter a giant rock on the road or a rock mine field…lol

I bought it because of the side pieces. There's stuff out there to hit too.

I've already lost one car totaled due to a road debris strike. You hit something hard enough it's going to puncture metal...in my instance it was the outer case on a Tesla battery pack. So yeah, that Turner cooler probably stopped it a whole lot worse..catastrophic oil dump.

I definitely agree if it was just stock plastic and open oil cooler and that same rock it would have ripped the whole thing apart.

This type of impact maybe a bit unusual but in general road debris are not and especially on high way speeds it doesn’t have to be rock to cause a lot of damage without good protection.

Gonna order one also. But is this type of damage something insurance would normally cover?

Plus depending on your deductible you might end up paying the entire amount of the repair anyway.

My rubber air damn thing ended up ripping off. Should I even replace it?

Honestly I don’t know man. Becuase there is a metal lip on Mishimoto already but if you want to it’s very cheap part.

I heard a little scrape the other day when I drove over a dip in the road. When I got home I looked to see what had rubbed and I could see it was the edge of the rubber air dam on the Mishimoto skid plate. My first thought was that it could have easily pulled off as it is only pressed on. I was thinking about gluing it on but haven't gotten to it yet.
