2021 M4

55,000 miles and counting, and heading on another 9-day trip to Cincy, Indiana and Pittsburgh from Maryland, a 1400-mile trip.

And I just came back from Myrtle Beach, 1000 miles.

And it still doesn't feel like I drive it all that much, since I drive my 2013 M3 convertible for lots of errands and such.

I'm slowing down a bit with the driving...no, really, I am

Mine's got over 13k so far- had it since September 17th last year...

A good fraction of that was from a drive from Los Angeles area to Kansas City & back early this year...

Bravo! Tell us about your experiences. How many sets of tires have you been through? Any other consumables? Oil changes by the book, or more frequently? Any unscheduled maintenance or repairs?

Just over 11k, picked up my 23 in mid January of this year. I hate putting that many miles on so quickly, but I also love driving it. Daily moral dilemma.

A mileage post, where people actually drive their cars......without the "I work from home", or "garage queen" excuse? I love it!

Nothing to report. No issues. Just regular maintenance. Oil changes by the book, completed by the dealer.

Tires? 2 sets. On my 3rd set. It came with Pirelli's, now on my 2nd set of Michelin PS4S stars. Of course I have RWD, and some spacers, so I go through tires a bit faster than normal.

If the next 50,000 miles are as problem-free, I may keep this car for a real long time.

No garage queen here. But I do work from home. So 95% of my miles are "fun miles" or "errand running miles".

I'm fortunate that I don't buy cars as investments, and I don't need them to "hold their value" by keeping the miles low. I already know when I buy a car that I will get my money's worth by driving it, not when I sell it.

I have other things in life to make money. For me, cars have one sole purpose...to produce as many smiles/mile as possible.

Mine FEELS high mileage b/c I just returned from a 1500+ mile trip. I took delivery 12/27/22 and just crossed 4100 miles. It'll chill from here since I work from home and travel rarely, but it's freaking me out a bit currently.

My 20 year old E46 was at 82k before I handed the keys to my son, so that's why it feels high to me. I have zero intent to keep miles low, but it's just how things work out for me.

I'm now dealing with the repercussions. I had a windshield chip fixed yesterday and I have a very small tear in my PPF but I don't think the paint is damaged (thanks PPF!). I got this trying to pass a truck that was towing two jet skis.

Edit: I was two hours from Tail of the Dragon, but didn't go. It was already SO much driving and my wife wasn't down for it. I had to settle for a spirited drive on rural roads around Asheville, NC. That was fun as hell.

Or the proverbial "I just took a long 500-mile trip and now I have 8,000 miles, I love this car!" posts.

If you have less than 20,000 miles, just read the thread (unless you have 20,000 miles in less than 8 months of ownership). Otherwise, no need to post. You're just wasting space.
I love how everyone just totally ignored the actual point of the thread and continue to post “wow I’ve got 1200 miles! Love the car!”

Reading is hard I guess.

23k miles since taking delivery in December 2021. It's been my daily -- until now. I plan to keep it long-term, as it's among the best (maybe THE best) BMW I've had among many over the past 30 years.

The 40-mile commute 6 days/week, especially in harsh winter conditions, is a waste of its talents, so we got an older, low-mileage X3 for that purpose (thus saving the M4 for occasions).

The fun miles, is the part that I can appreciate, regardless of your commuting status. The low mileage threads are downright — blasphemous, with the excuses as to why the miles are so low. It's pathetic!
