Pretty common issue on all generation M3s
I recommend using Future Classic wheel spacers. They mount to the actual hub and are screwed into place. Ive used SO MANY wheel spacer brands over the years and Future Classic is the best.

Check out my video below...

Most times vibration will be contributed to torque methods.

Remove and reinstall the lugs, making sure to fasten in a star-like pattern, and torque to spec. Be sure to look for other indicators like wheel weights falling off (it happens).

Otherwise, feel free to drop by and we can inspect in person. Most times, reinstalling gets everything back into place.

Before you retorque them, make sure they sit flush against the disc rotor and make sure they sit flush against the wheel.

They can be just out as far as machining and won't sit flush (especially against the wheel). There is a BMW racing video where the guy seats the spacer against the rotor or wheel w/ a sheet of paper in between. If the paper is not tight, it'll vibrate - and maybe not safe.

fascinating. thank you for sharing the tip video @M4Lou. i recently replaced some 13mm spacers in the front for 10mm spacers because i got tired of hearing the PZEROs rub in reverse. the feeling of the steering felt a lot different after the swap (and settle). perhaps it had something to do with this.

Yeah man, you're welcome. Another point is that most spacers are chinese and probably have a decent percentage of quality control issues. It's an important part that needs to be checked for fitment/good machining, etc.

Was it hubcentric spacers or some bullshit ones that just sit there and try to be held in place with the lug bolts? Proper spacers will be hubcentric like the back of a wheel and fit tight on there and stay. In the front of them, they’ll also now have a new hubcentric lip for the wheel to fit onto. If they’re not constructed this way, that might be your problem due to wacky misalignment. Universal spacers are shit no matter what car you run them on.

Also, did you torque the lugs with it on the ground with full weight on the wheels or no? If so, you need to redo it when you have spacers. You have to get the lugs tightened down as much as possible, not just snug and either torque them on the air or best option is to lower it enough for the tire to make enough contact patch contact to stop it from turning as you torque them. If there is any give on the wheels from the bolts not thing tight all the way, you can have some slipping on the two hubs now due to the spacers and could just just a bit off. Spacers also not being perfectly machined will cause this. It’s hard to catch without a measuring them with calipers. Lots of people in the past have complained about your brand of spacers causing vibrations no matter what size they were. Just FYI.

I torqued mine down with full weight and have zero vibration issues. You just need to make sure it's flush on the hub when you hand tighten in the air.

$49 for a pair of spacers? I have to question what this buys….

I mean, I’m no price snob. But when literally every other set of spacers is at least twice as much….

Im pretty sure the Macht Schnell spacers are $120 a pair on IND. Never seen them that cheap. Plenty of guys on this site are running them without any issues.

You're looking at a 3mm set of spacers. Not much material there, as that specific fitment is primarily used for BBK clearance.

Macht Schnell has been manufacturing spacers for over 15 years, they're very well respected in this field. Spacers are considered a DIY install, but there's no harm in having a shop install them for you if you're not up to the task and want them done correctly. As said earlier, most times vibration issues can most times be contributed to improper installation.

Follow all the steps outlines in the instructions and you'll be golden.

Bigger profits, the amount of parts coming from china for this platform is surprising to me. I was in the gm world before this, everything was made in the USA, nothing came from china.
Only a few vendors make things in house for this platform, while things like intakes, exhausts, carbon parts are basically all from china and are resold here with 2-3x price increases.
Every time I see a vendor announce some new part I check alibaba/aliexpress to see if it came from there.

Many parts of the actual car are made in China, I don't really think that has much to do with it. Anything can be made in China and have good QC. The MOPAR crowd wanting things made in the USA is more on the people than the quality, IMO.

Another point for the OP. You may want to change your profile display name not to be your email address, unless you love additional countless SPAM emails and god knows what else.
