Do you even get FM radio and power windows if you don't add some options on a Porsche? Heck, do you even get a window?
The windows are a $2k optional extra, but you can get the "weather tightness" package, that includes doors and windows, for only $7,999. I think most people just end up going for that.

I saw earlier in a topic a link to search in the BMW dealer inventories for cars but I don't seem to find it anymore. Would you guys be so kind and share that link again, please?

If the monthly numbers with 6 year loan and marked up finance rate were almost equal to 5 year at buy rate then it's pretty safe to say it was the good ol play out of dealership sleaze tactics book.

And if the numbers were different, it should be an easy catch because one would hope that the customer would have calculated their monthly payment atleast once using an online calculator before signing.

Good on you for checking every number on your contract and warning others on the forum.

The fact that he acted like he had never heard of 0.9% means he was either horrible at his job or lying POS. Neither is good.

Don't rely on that alone. The inventory lists also populate cars that are ordered, but already spoken for.

Can a dealer say no to that rate. What if dealer says you aren't approved of 0.9% could you ask him to show. Reason I asked because Bmw is offering the same on M5.

You guys a right... I haven't visited the Porsche website in a bit and the lease rates have gone through the roof. I was getting a deal for 7% off of MSRP on a 992.2S build and with $5k out of pocket it was $1300 per month for 48 mos. Now that same car is $1700!!! Yikes!!

If I go with the M4 that will be a minimalist car as well. My sticker is at $74K I wonder what that would lease out to? BTW, South Bay BMW in S. Cali had 6 M4s and 4 M3s all with $10k over sticker. He told me if I wanted to order me one I can get it at MSRP which tells me if I shop around I can get one for under MSRP.

The car looks much better in person than it does in photos. I was actually quite enamored with the car.

If you pay MSRP, probably $937 + tax with no MSDs or $904 + tax with max (7) MSDs.
If you pay 3% off MSRP, probably $873 + tax with no MSDs or $841 + tax with max (7) MSDs.
Add 10-15% to those monthly prices to estimate the effective rate including California sales tax, drive-off costs, eventual disposition fee, etc.

Well, I know my credit score is in the 800's so that should easily qualify for the best rate. I'm not sure how they could claim to say no to it.

Yea, that was my thought. He made some show of looking it up on the BMW website. I've almost never been impressed with any of the finance guys as normal not trying to pull one over on you in some form types. Maybe though the deal is only on the M's and they don't sell that many there (I know they don't) so he wasn't aware of it? Still seems like the finance guy whose job it is to know these things ought to know these things. I haven't trusted several of the ones at my dealer over the years. I probably could have made a biggish deal about it, but was easier to just get the numbers fixed and move on. It was annoying though.

It's just sad to think that for almost every car on the road someone had to go through the more painful than necessary process of buying it from a dealer.

The May lease offer for the M3 on BMW website's shows a 58% residual for a 3 year / 7500 mile lease, which looks the same as the rates quoted above.

And getting anything off on a 911 these days is tricky. But not as tricky as finding a dealer with an allocation.

Yea it was right when I sold the E92 when Covid hit. I ended up with a 2020 Mustang GT 6MT Performance Package car to tide me over. I am shocked on how much I am enjoying this car. I can wait until the LCI and when pricing gets better. The pricing on the new 911s in absolutely out of what I would pay (or wife would allow me).

Let's just say my wife thought my 911 cost 2/3rds of what it did. Fortunately was already ordered when she found out. I put her name on the title to make her feel better.

Lol, know that feeling. My wife knows the M3s cost "about 70", but I don't think has clicked that mine was actually "about 80" with "about 10" of taxes on top of that (thanks California). I thought I did pretty well keeping it that low tbh.

Just sold my 21 992...I actually way preferred my 17 M3...the 992 is SO loud...road noise insane, couldn't hear radio or calls. Great handling and power tho but not my kind of car.
