That's really weird! I had heard similar stories but for some reason, my car (and it does not have the noise insulating glass) is quieter than my M3. Not significantly, but somewhat. And I've made a ton of calls. So weird.

Roads bad here around the city and the highway drone really high...I did have a cab too...bad car for living in the city as I really missed my trunk and back seats I could easily get to via door! LOL

The 911s big ass tires right behind the driver make a ton of noise, especially if you get the Pirellis and they start to wear.

Love the way Mustangs look, they just need to up the build quality another notch. This car runs like a raped ape though. Ford Racing powerkit, Ford Racing Track kit and other goodies.

I'm hoping you guys can help me out, as this is my first M car order. I'm trading in my 2019 X5 40i that's paid off. My M3 Comp build MSRP comes out to be $86,295 according to BMWUSA.

I'm going in tomorrow morning to look at numbers w/my salesman. Right now, he is texting me that after trade I'd need to put down $3k to order, and I'd have to finance $38,544.

I have no idea what the break down looks like right now, so far as what they are giving me for my trade etc. My simple question for you all, is based on this limited info, does this sound like a good deal?

My X5 has 23k miles on it and is in otherwise great condition.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

For what it's worth, this will be my third car ordered through this dealer, and I was the first sale ever my salesman made, so I have a great relationship with him; I just don't know enough right now to know what kind of deal he is giving me, but I feel confident going in he will do what he needs to in order to ensure I'm happy.

Well, pretty simple math, it means if he is charging you MSRP he is giving you about 45K for your trade (assuming you pay taxes also upfront). What does KBB say on value?

UPDATE...looks like you are lucky to pay no sales tax on cars in your state but also looks like your salesbud is ripping you off...KBB shows mid 50s for ballpark trade value.

I will double check KBB, but my last check had it around $42k from my memory. I also know this likely includes rebates, I just don't know how many yet. Regardless, thanks for your input/advice, I will share final numbers and whether I order tomorrow or not with you all after going in to discuss all this tomorrow morning.

Yeah, definitely don't do a deal until you know how much your car is worth. Then you can engineer the deal based on what you think a fair sales price is of the M3. Remember, used cars are in high demand right now, so I would look at comparable models currently listed as well to see if a vast majority are posted for mark ups. (You could also look into selling your car to the other options like vroom, etc).

Also, $3k deposit to order? thats a bit odd. I thought the norm was $1k (if they even charge you, mine did not).

100% so far as my car's value!

I thought that was a larger deposit requirement....but I don't mind, just going to lower the cost regardlesss.

So last year I had a car bump into my front right quarter panel on my x5. I don't remember the cost to fix, as the guy who hit me covered it, but it wasn't much at all. That said, my KBB.com trade in value is $52k-ish. My car fax trade in is $44k.

Which should I be thinking about when I go in tomorrow? I don't want to get ripped off and that's a big gap in price; I just want a fair trade in value for my X5.

I say check how much Carvana & Vroom will offer you. They surprised me with great offers on both our cars. It takes a few minutes and you receive an offer good for several days. They come & pick it up from your driveway.

You're not conflicted. You just haven't accepted your inevitable reality. Mix you a drink and get on the configurator. You know the one, the three letter one.

It is done! I opted out of my G8X allocation and I now await the arrival of my Porsche Carrera S! It has been a long day.

Lease payment?

Hey Forum,

I'm looking at purchasing the M3 next month and wanted to know what I could expect for a 36mo/10,000mi lease. I've previously always purchased my vehicles but wanted to explore the lease option if it makes sense financially.

What are you guys paying??

I was quoted $1100 but some guys were getting them for $900 but there is a lot of variables. Hopefully that gives you a rough ball park.

Congrats! Did you get a 2021 or 2022 allocation? I passed on the G8x and ordered a 992 Carrera S as well. Here's my build code that locked on 4/30/21:
