LCI screen removal and dash trim install

I started installing M-Performance interior trim but ran into an issue. It turns out that the screen must be removed to install the new trim.

Somehow I managed to get out the gloss black plastic trim but the new carbon trim is more rigid and will not go under the screen.

Has anyone got information about how to remove the ID8 screen?

I have tried removing the 3 torx screws holding it in place and lifting the screen but it just won't move.

KIES motorsports have removed the screen but the video does not show how to remove it.

This thread will be helpful for LCI G42; G2x and G87 owners.

Hey, do you have the instruction manual on how to remove the volume button assembly above the center consul and below the LCD?

Uh...yeah lol. Do you have anything for the G83 to remove the A-Pillar trim? (it's different than the G80/82)

Thank you!

Found a manual in german before it and was able to get the dash trim installed.

Removing the screen is not as easy as it seems in the manual. Needs quite a strong force to be pulled off.

I only have the g80 manual, found some mention of the a-pillar at the bottom of this section but that's it.

Hey how much of a pain in the ass was it to swap out the dashboard?
My tint guy messed up my leather dash in the two corners when spraying down the windshield and I’m wondering if it’s even worthwhile to replace myself cause no way in hell I’m letting the dealer do it.
