No stage 1, but you can get the JB+

That said, the JB4 is still worth it even if the only fuel you have access to is 91.

you will still take advantage of the smoother power delivery, safety failsafe, data logging, code reading and deleting

Will the dealership be able to detect that JB4 was installed on my car during service? Don't wanna lose my factory warranty. I was thinking of removing it before each service and re-installing it afterwards.

The JB4 won't compromise your warranty. Numerous users have had warranty work performed while using the JB4 over the years. Warranty becomes a concern only if your engine suffers damage and a tuning device like the JB4 or another is detected.

However, if you're using the recommended settings for your modifications and fuel, this risk is nearly negligible.

To address your question directly: if you remove the JB4, it's unlikely to be detected during your routine dealership visit. It might only be discovered if there is a comprehensive investigation into other indicators that suggest a potential anomaly.

Such an investigation would require a BMW engineer, as your dealership's service advisor wouldn't have the necessary interest, expertise, or tools to conduct such a thorough investigation.
