Impressive g80 at the strip running low 10's

Found this video on YouTube today. Wonder who's car it is. Anyways it's pretty damn impressive.

I know I might get stoned here for this statement but:
quarter mile runs with automatic and especially auto/awd is just massively geh.

You just have to floor that thing.
Wow...

I generally can't really take much out of quarter mile races but that just is the top of nonsense, it's absoloutely zero about skill.

It's just my opinion...I do get much more on a race track with a car like this, and there I don't care if auto or MT.

Not to say there isn’t skill in properly launching and keeping control of a fast accelerating car, but I think what we can take away from this video is not the driver’s skill, but how fast this car can be, albeit in a straight line. It’s still pretty impressive.

I think we all agree. The skill is in the work leading up to the run, not necessarily the run itself. This is more like a dyno run. See if all that hard work has lid off.

Still some skill in the launch and drive, but not nearly as much skill needed as if it were a manual.

None the less, the car in the 10s is impressive.
