Wow. The sunlight makes the rims appear brighter, which makes the car look much better. It is a pity that there are no brighter rims to choose from, which always look like here (even when it isn't illuminated by the sunlight).

The Bi-color 825 wheels are brighter.

Yes, but unfortunately only the outer surfaces, everything else is black (thus darker than the orbit gray version). This makes the rims "flat" and they lack the visual 3D effect.

But I like the 825M bi-color otherwise. It would come down to the decision between 825M bi-color or orbit gray for me.

Full disclosure this was the only M3 out of a choice of 7 at the time that even piqued my interest; so I just took what was there and have only been pleased ever since.

While they are not bright per se, they do have more depth than a black wheel in pictures (black gets lost for sure) and its not the normal view most people here have.

A non sun pic:

I went back and forth on 825 bi color and orbit gray. Vic’s car had me super close on the orbit gray because it looks really good.

I decided to go with bi-color because my car is a base and I ordered it without the extended shadow line trim and thought the bi-color would tie in with the bright exhaust tips (which I am a sucker for).

They are ! I just don't think they fit the black car, that's why I went with the 826M.

Portimao Blue exemplifies what I am finding to be true across nearly all of the various paint colors available . . . it seems they all come with two prominent hues.

Portimao blue has a blue hue (lighter conditions) and purple hue (darker conditions). I like them both, as I did with Hockenheim Silver with its white and grey/chalk hues.

At any rate, there are certain other colors where I like one hue and not another . . . so, reasonable to suggest that in many instances you are almost choosing two paint colors and need to makes sure you like both.

Then interior….orange, silverstone or white? Both silverstone and white look great in the blue. The orange really pops in the IOMG. Decisions decisions….

I ordered Portimao Blue with the full Silverstone leather interior.

I’m very partial to blue and it doesn’t matter to me that it’s not an exclusive color.

The lighting in this shop is fantastic which helps. The color in person is spectacular. So many different hues depending on what light you are in. I will say it has by far become my favorite color out of the line up so far. To answer your question yes as long as its kept clean.
