I might. You mean the non-shadowline headlights on TBII?

Yes! Thanks for the pictures. You even have the standard wheels! Beautiful car!

I'd appreciate some more pictures if you get around to it.

I really struggled with the wheels. I'm really happy with the standard ones no that I have the car. They didn't look nearly as good in the Configurator but in person I think they look great

I'm sure I would have liked the bigger ones, too, but I thought it might limit my winter tire options even more as I usually swap tires and don't think I'll get separate wheels

I think those will look great with TB II or any of the darker paints. Red calipers make any car faster so good choice there, too.

Basically I think the difference is all the background parts are blacked out. I've yet to see a picture that really makes it obvious.

Thanks. It's my "realistic" dream car from when they first came out decades ago. It's been a long wait.

Of course if money were entirely no object I'd get something else but I also still need 4 doors at this point so this is actually pretty close to my all out dream car, I guess. Maybe I'd go a completely different direction and get white pants and a Roller. 😀

This is embarrassing. I never looked closely at what my car's lights actually look like. I didn't order the blacked out lights (just rechecked the build sheet) but mine sure look to me to be blacked out. I tried to take an up close picture but the glare made it impossible. Everything but the light units themselves and the blue accent and what the light passes through is black. Maybe I'm wrong about the difference.

If you have a TB II G8x on order and haven't seen this paint before, I think you'll love it. It's really sharp looking. It fades from a gorgeous blue to a blackish blue depending on the angle and the light. You often see both at the same time. It's really nice.

I've got an Estoril blue 2014 335i which still gets occasional random compliments but this paint is on another level entirely, as is the whole car, of course

Tanzanite on tartufo! If only it had bicolor 826 and red calipers, I'd have no surprises!

Both headlights have black background / housing, the difference is shadowline headlights have that chrome piece "eyebrow" thing replaced with black plastic to give it a more menacing look.

I personally think tanzanite blue looks better with headlights with chrome trims. I prefer some contrast, never a fan of blacked-out everything or wheels on a dark colored car.

I personally think tanzanite blue looks better with regular headlights with chrome trims. I prefer some contrast, never a fan of blacked-out everything or wheels on a dark colored car.
Thanks for the clarification

I went back and forth between the two so much. Glad to see on video that the dark color doesn't hide the curves of the car.
