I've heard really good things about Precision Tint & Vinyl Experts. They did my tints on the Volvo. They do a lot of PPF and use Xpel.https://z-p42.www.instagram.com/p.t.v.e/?hl=en

Anyone knows how much to apply the film just on the front bumper and hood?

Thanks is for all of the input here. After doing a lot of looking around, I'm going to have my bumper and rocker panels done at Auto Image in Barrington. I'll keep you posted and will add pics.

Bump. Anyone end up getting ceramic and/or PPF in the last six months? My car is just finishing up being built, but I can see it easily being another couple of months until I take delivery. I'm planning on ceramic, but no PPF. Luminescent is very close to my house and it sounds like they did a good job doing the work, but it also sounds like their customer service is lacking. Not returning calls or emails is a big turn off in my book. I guess I'm leaning towards Chicago Auto Pros, but would be happy if I could get good work done a bit closer to home.

Chicago Auto Pros all the way. Did PPF on my C63S when new, Volvo XC90, and they wrap edges perfectly and no seams.

I have a guy in Elmhurst who did my PPF and ceramic coating, full front, carbon hood, rear panels, and side view mirrors about $5500, did an awesome job. Check him out at https://www.instagram.com/mateenmotorsports/?hl=en, DM him for more information on getting yours done. He does it out of his house and is super responsive to all questions and concerns, plus will give you great tips on washing and keeping your ride clean.

I think I'm going with Chicago Auto Pros. I was considering PPF as well as the ceramic and tint, but they quoted me over $3500 just for the front clip. They also told me there would be a few seams. Not worth it for me. Just doing ceramic and tint. Those all seem like good options. Now all I need is my car...

Ceramic provides little to no protection ya know...if spend anything do it on front PPF.

This also included window tints on 5 windows (not windshield) at 35%

I do. The protection that PPF provides is not my main goal, although it would never hurt. For the same money I'd prefer some other things (maybe an exhaust, or a good way to lower the car, or a good radar detector, or a dash cam, etc.). I'm more interested in the gloss and the ease of maintenance washes that ceramic brings to the table.

What products did he use for PPF and ceramic? Did you get tinted windows as well? Do you have any visible seams? And aprox where was he located?

Wheels Ceramic coating GYEON, Body Gtechnique, not sure the PPF, I believe it is XPEL, I can tell you, I do not see any of the work done, all areas are properly tucked in so not visible. He did an awesome job. I believe he is in Elmhurst by May Street, DM him from the Instragram URL I posted above if you want more information. He gets booked fast, just FYI.

I’ve had several cars done at Chicago Auto Pros and would recommend. Will do my M3CX when it gets here.

Had my Ceramic and some other stuff done at Luminescent.

Chicago auto pros pricing is just crazy and Luminescent provides better customer
service and just as good of work for a little less.

Another plus side is that they are right next to iND, so I was able to get some stuff from iND taken care of at the same time.

I ended up going to Chicago Auto Pros a few weeks ago. It was by no means cheap, but they did a great job. Car looks amazing. They also gave me the use of a loaner car (at no cost) while my car spent the week with them.

I will also be stopping by IND for a few items next week. Also a great place to spend money.

I’ve used Auto Image in Barrington multiple times for XPEL PPF and window tinting. I would highly recommend them. Really detail oriented and did a great job.

My G80 is there now. I wanted to see Atlantis live but didn't get a chance.

Much gratitude to Frank and team at Luminescent for delivering a great experience!

This is my fourth car I've had Frank and team detail and protect with ceramic coating. This time around I brought in my new 2022 M3. It's a special car for me because it's my first individual paint order and I wanted to make sure it was protected and easy to maintain. Frank and I spoke and based on my vehicle use and me living in the city and not have the best access to high quality car washes he suggested we do a full PPF and then coating. So I said yes.

He's team did a full new car detail with a two step polish getting the Black Blue (W32) non metallic paint super glossy. Next he locked in the paint perfection with full body XPEL paint protection film and then added a Ceramic Pro coating. They also took the wheels off and coated them to make it easier for me to clean them and treated the glass too!
