buckets on a daily driver are silly for the most part. If this is your "special car" or weekend car or whatever, that's a different story. While the buckets can be comfortable, and add to the driving experience when driving agressively, getting in and out of them is a chore, especially if you park in crowded parking lots, parking garages, etc.

If you track your car all the time, buckets are a must. This bucket seat hype is similar to what you find in the Porsche GT community, although most of those guys rarely drive their cars so one could see it being justified there.

does anyone know the weight difference between the regular seats and the buckets on the G80? It's a bit odd to me that BMW chose to make these power adjustable instead of manual... could've saved some more weight that way.

Just my opinion but I think the buckets are a must regardless. I have driven 32k miles 2/2022 to 4/2023 with buckets and I am so happy I got them! Comfortable, supportive, no negatives from my perspective.

You drove 30k miles in a single year? Wild. Long commute or what?

I’m looking at trading my 22 M3 Comp in for the M3 CS. Only comes with the carbon buckets and it’s going to be my daily driver but I’m still terrified I’m going to hate it after purchase. Only a handful of G80/G82s here and I haven’t found anyone that has the carbon buckets.
Trust me, you won't. Go for it. I don't think the CS comes with the fixed CF buckets like CSL. The buckets that we have are really comfortable. You will love them. Order the CS ASAP.

Carbon Buckets are a must.

No, the CS is not fixed, its powered.

CSL has two options on buckets - power & non.

I find the part of being electrically adjustable and having a memory function totally awesome, I can have a track/aggressive position on #2 and a more relaxed position on #1.
