Installed NWCarbon Haus gloss black air ducts. I prefer over the carbon ducts especially since I’m keeping the OEM gloss black grille.

Back in there to install the transmission cooler guard. Decided to go that route vs mesh. Best wishes to the Torx bit that decided to make a jump for it. Losing something in the engine bay every time I work on a car is turning into a tradition for me.

When you did this, did you disconnect the battery or were you super careful with unscrewing/screwing the positive terminal?

I didn't disconnect the battery when I installed mine.

Nope. I did not disconnect the battery. I’ve done this multiple times on multiple cars and never had an issue

This is the route I’m going.

I don’t have nor want any carbon on the outside of my car, and likely staying with the stock grill for a while (eventually probably CS).

I was concerned about that too. Victorian cops are not fans of anything except giving out tickets. I looked up ADR's and it does say DRL's can be white or yellow and I figure if BMW are fitting them OEM they must be OK. I also drove through a booze bus on Thursday in it and was half waiting for a comment, but they didn't say anything.

If I get any grief, I'll swap em back.

I had them in for two months before I got pulled over and given a warning to get them fixed.

Just didn’t want the hassle so had them swapped back the same day.

Showed them photos of the CS, but they were pretty adamant. I think that why they let me off with a warning.

I know another member got a defect and fine a few weeks earlier.

Didn’t bother to take a new picture. Looks identical to my prior M4 😉
