Any idea when the December allocations are released to the dealers (I'm in US)? Maybe with it being a strange month with shutdowns for the holidays….and of course the shortages and delays….someone has knowledge of this?

First time I've been on a wait list awaiting an allocation for a factory built vehicle….sorry if this had been asked numerous times!

Next round should be late December for February production. Don't know how that works with the Germans closing down for 2 weeks.

Thx for the feedback. I thought I heard "beginning of December" for some reason. So allocations usually come out at the end of the month, not beginning?

No. Allocations come beginning of the month. Late December allocations are actually January allocations. The open allocations sometimes go into production the month they are assigned, but generally no later than the month after they are assigned. Priority 1 sold allocations go into production ahead of all others. Pandemic problems are affecting these norms somewhat.

It's varied a bit this year, but generally the last week of each month allocations are released. And no, November allocations for January production were released around Nov 20.

My dealer called me this morning and said he had just got me an allocation today. Said it it just popped up. Going to try and get the order number so I can track.

those random ones show up from time to time from the BMW NA risk pool

Yeah, just got the order number. It shows a late Jan build as of right now.
