A Porsche GT3 w/ manual transmission.
But then, it costs twice as much lol.
Not sure if I'll be comfortable spending that much on a toy at this point.

The GT4 is a phenomenal car if you wanted to scratch that type of itch without breaking the bank

I leased my F80 6 speed comp as a bridge til I could get gently used GT3, as prices were dropping pre covid. I was up about $20k equity on the F80 so I decided it was the best time to sell it. Prices on the GT3 took off and was more than I was willing to pay for one. I was able to get 5.6% off + $500 loyalty on ordering a G80 6 speed to my personal spec. So I figured that the G80 would hold me over 3 years til GT3 prices started to return to near pre covid levels as more received their 992s and traded in their 991. But the G80 has far surpassed all my expectations and at this point I cant justify the price difference from just buying it out at the end of the Lease to buying a GT3. So at this point it looks like the G80 is going to stay in its spot in the garage for years to come.

The G80 really is an amazing car. Just does everything well.

I'll stick with he M3 as long as I can. I kind of bought it as I knew with young kids it'd be my last fast sedan before I inevitably had to get an SUV
Why do you HAVE to have an SUV for kids? My parents didn't own one when I was growing up.

When you put a full size stroller in the trunk there isn't room for a suitcase. It's a nightmare for weekends away. It's really just about more space for more crap

Full size stroller days really only last for the first couple of years.

I have a 15 month old and another due in January so my purchase of the M3 was really my last stand! Should probably have bought an X5M or something really

I have the C8 Z51 which I did pay about $24k over msrp for. The Z06 will go at least 50k over msrp. I would trade my C8 for the Z06 (with lots of $ additional) within reason.

There's also a $96k RAV-4 that would fit right into your garage:

Can't you put a suitcase in the back seat? One baby seat can't take yo the entire back row can it? I put tons of stuff on my back seats for Costco runs. You could fold the seats down to fit the stroller and luggage I assume. I don't have kids obviously, it just seems it could work with minimal effort. I suspect parents just want least effort possible and care about sightly better safety than all other things.

Sorry for derailing the thread but I probably get one more ICE vehicle purchase in the future and I'm expecting it will haul a kid. I don't currently plan to make that last ICE vehicle purchase an SUV.

Two car seats take up the whole back seat. A large stroller takes up most of the trunk so you can't get a large suit case in there also. This is why SUVs are so popular! Crazy I know

Also you don't really want to put luggage or anything on the back seat in case it hit the baby in an accident

End of thread derailment

I had and sold a new C7 Corvette, 2017 911 C2S, 2022 M3 xDrive to picking up 2022 M850i Gran Coupe by the end of this week. I made a profit of $14,000 on the 911 after 3 years of ownership and $7,500 on the M3 after owning it for 2 months. All great cars but trying the 8 series next.

Nothing. I didn't find anything that had the same price/performance while providing the practical utility the M3 does. Sure I would love a GT3 or even a 718 but those are significantly more and have less practical use.

IF a C8 Z ordered now at MSRP was available next March, let's say, I would have ordered one, kept my '18 Vette until and for the trade. That, however, is so far removed from reality, I may as well say a GT3 at list, same time line--same fantasy.

That's not nice!! LOL

But yeah, the C8 changed the game for sure lol.

Not only in terms of the flippers but in terms of gathering a gigantic audience of new buyers. People want the car now. And the great part is that they can still own it, and sell it and make massive profits.

Gotta love corvettes lol

I would love a Cayman GT4 or GTS 4.0 but there aren't many other cars I would daily in the $80-140K range which would be as fun. I'm not into American cars and the Germans really haven't put out much I want lately. The M2 CS would've been my choice but I passed up an allocation which I've been kicking myself for ever since.

Yes agree with comments above.

Strange question. Almost inferring that the G8x is something weve had to purchase because of lack of other options. !?!

Not for me. Ive always dreamed of owning an 'M' car and picked mine up almost a month ago and wouldnt want to change it for anything else.
