Stock G80 xDrive (not my data, found this on a FB post).
that's more in line with what I initially expected. the DA is much better and he's close to sea level. I think there's a drag strip in Baytown which should be a good one to run

That 1/2 mile trap speed is insane.. very tempted to trade the F90 in once the G80 lci comes out.

Thank you! Reading this forum makes me second guess my purchase and OP…love the tech talk…more posts next week
There is no way you should second guess your choice. 90% of the population or more would love to have an opportunity to have a car of this caliber. Too many people chasing numbers instead of enjoying the car. Hell if I ever get mine, it will be my first M car and first new BMW and I have owned over 10 of them.

doesn't seem to have done much because the car will run those times on stock tires if they are properly warm seeing how the original guy who ran a 3.07s 0-60 (2.9s with rollout) was on stock tires and this guy was slower

Those are good points but where do you draw the line? Once you change something, especially something like a drag radial, it is no longer straight from the factory stock.

Would it run the same with a factory tire ? Probably, but you can't say for sure.

Definitely needs an * and say on drag radials.

I agree.

It's way more important with RWD, but even with AWD, the drag radials definitely aren't hindering performance.

Very true, unless the AWD spins of the line which I highly doubt. That run was fast because of better temps and lower elevation. I’m sure we will see better times in 45 degree weather especially in the Fall. High 10’s is very possible for those doubting it can do it.

The one in the video got the same quartermile time and trap speed as the draggy screenshot posted on the previous page. Hence my assumption that it's the same car & run.

it is the same car but drag radials don't matter. it's AWD and will hook up easily regardless. Better times were posted on stock Pilot Sport tires via the other thread but he never ran the 1/4 mile.

I think with a JB4 and Downpipes/ E30-40 the xDrive would probably smoke all 4.

If you go down pipe/tune, you need better tires. Even AWD. AWD does not mean no slipping ever.
