Normal LC engagement, it worked flawlessly, it's my M2 button, numbers were achieved all with this setting, have not messed w this yet:

- 4WD Sport (shift point 3 as needed)
- Never did one in 4WD
- Launched in 1st gear (all)
- Not a real straight line (lane changes)
- LC held for about 5-7 seconds, seem to peak at 3-3,500 hundred and wouldn't go higher
Were you running the power sucking Air Conditioner?
And did you shave that morning?

I had my last meal at 12:17pm, did not shave, hadn't used the bathroom and was wearing a watch. If I had planned properly for sure in the 10's 😂

I'd be curious what this car weighs on a scale with the steel brakes and non-buckets. That's some insane performance numbers though.

So this car is easily a ten second car once you tune it.

Interesting we got 3.22s vs that 3.07s posted by the other user in seemingly the same conditions and modes (4WD Sport and 1st gear LC)

the most significant different between a 10.9 and 11.2 is whether you can meet your debt to dominic toretto

ROFL. My man! Nice spec too! Enjoy in good, clean-shaven health.

And no offense meant to the dudes chasing after those tenths of a second. Go M lovers!

Not even close to same conditions. Did you see the DA ? 2000 difference. Lines up against the 3.07 car exactly as it should.

That’s why this thread is misleading. Plenty of people out there that don’t understand how a shitty DA will absolutely make your car slower.

This thread makes me chuckle a little bit as it relates to the Density Altitude discussion. I love the categorization of 2000' and 3000' DA's as "shitty". Would we kill for some of that here in Colorado.

Just for fun, because it had the same motor as the G8x.

A couple reference points from my untuned 2020 x3mc back last year:

Pueblo Motorsports Park
Actual Elevation: 4913'
DA on this run: ~7000'
http://dragtimes.com/BMW-X3-M-Timeslip-31455.html

Bandimere Speedway
Actual Elevation: 5800'
DA on this run: ~7629'
http://dragtimes.com/BMW-X3-M-Timeslip-31469.html

Just some food for thought.

I can run mine at sea level here in Houston once it arrives and I finish break in. It should be cooler for a lower DA

BTW - the DA is nearly 3000 ft ! That thing is easy 124/125 trap and 10.9 to 11 flat in zero DA
DA has less of an impact on forced induction cars but there is still an impact. Outliers aside, I see these cars flirting with 10's but staying around 11.10-11.29.
As much as I wish they would dip in to the high 10s, I just don't see it happening.
I agree with your prediction.
I am getting really impatient now, 2 weeks left.
I would not under estimate the effect of at sea level and cooler dryer air on acceleration times. Also a car that is broken in more, say 10k miles. After all it's only a tick or 2 away

The exterior and interior colors are so perfectly matched (especially red interior), that statistics don't even matter. Amazing car. Congrats!
